I just made a song that was freakishly overly-happy so I decided to change it to minor and now it's soooo depressing. Lol! I'm going to keep the minor version. I'll post both later. Anyone ever done this? Take your song and transpose all the notes down a third or up a 6th. (Or just change it from F minor to F major, etc.)It changes it so much!

EDIT: Here's the Major version.

This is where music is technically mathematics in nature depending on the frequency of the notes that are transposed. Remember though, that if you wish to compose medieval songs you will never have the authentic feel of it due to the way a piano or instrument is tuned today as opposed to then, and visa-versa (although the old way sounded horrible :sweatdrop: )

Anyways, major keys are usually referred to as happy or upbeat, whereas minor is usually depressing. This, of course is an assumption.

To comment, your major version is much better than your minor, and uh........ I prefer minor anyways (such as with Beethoven )

<_< I've dwelled off the point, and if I remember what I was going to say after 'transposed' originally, I'll come back to you. :heh:

You really preferred the major? I prefer the minor still... :/

I wasn't listening to closely to tell you the truth, but the minor version tended to drone on, while the major transcription, while still droning, was easier to get through.
