Just made up more songs with my shiny new copy of Finale NotePad!
These are short, so please bear with me!
yiu- made about two weeks ago. Filename means nothing.
Waning Away- I made this today, but have had the idea forever.
The main focus of the last two weeks has been my randomness. Are these more structured? I hope so.
I also apologize for creating a separate thread, but my old one wouldn't get noticed, anyway.

They look structured, they have similar rhythms which is good but the melody and the chords/harmony is random.
And congrats on your new copy of Finale! It's a lot of fuN!

ok, and thanks. But how are the melody/chords disconnected?

Still seems preety random to me, but I can see you trying though. So I give you credit for that.
Yea, in the second one-not A LOT of people can do a B to D stretch, not saying don't use it in music, just I've never seen anyone really do that-unless it's Rachmoninoff or Chopin hehe.

I hate it when people ask how it's random... it's hard to explain (...probably only me =P). Some parts sound like there are two unrelated melodies. Chords don't sound connected because they are random and don't connect with the melody. Learn harmony and theory and you'll be on your way.
There's a theory thread in this forum.

Did it work well, or are you stating to look out for them and be careful not to jump like that? It's been a long three years... So much to learn, so little time! (and so little patience:lol: )

I've read through a lot of it. Dang it, I thought I had harmony down pat! Oh, well...

No, it's ok if you have chords like that-just never really see it from the composers from here. I do it a lot now and again.

What? a B-D stetch isn't hard if you have average sized hands. That's just an octave and three half steppes.
