Age 19
Trumpet: I got a 3.0 in my Virtuoso class ('Average of the Best' as my classmates tell me)
Piccolo Trumept: Untested, but I'm confidant in my skills
Brass Tech: 3.5
These are based off of a 4.0 grading scale with 4.0 being the highest. I gave up on the sheet music grading system because it is just based on technique and not musicianship (thus what you see are my college/preformance grades in music). While higher levels are difficult, playing Grade II pieces are just as hard; just in a different sense.

Piano
Last CM level passed: 8 >.> (well, that was way back in 8th grade)
"Level" now: Well, 2 years ago there was the Lennox Young Artists Concerto Competition...made it to the semifinals, then got destroyed :P oh well, it was a great experience...plus I got to travel to Texas...the people there seem very nice, more laid back than us Californians :P

Age 18. Flute grade 8 distinction, doing performance diploma for piano. :/ To be honest, I don't like it when people think "wow, you passed X grade and you're only Y years old!" Just reminds me of this guy I know. <_< Because even though he has done grade 8 (only just pass though, I believe), and he keeps rubbing it in my face, his sight reading is incredibly poor, and he doesn't understand the structure, sonority, melody, texture etc. of the music he plays.
Hey, it sounded like I was a real uni music student there, lol.

Years of age: 18
Piano: ARCT performance, Grade 10 level theory/history/harmony (the boring paper stuff). Now that university is off I might as well grab the full ARCT package. Piano, ARCT. Yeah, that'd look sweet on a resume. B)
Violin: Grade 10.
Thinking of picking up guitar or bass. Any guitarists or bassists want to share their experiences?

I don't even KNOW what grade I am. XD
Anyway, I'm 13 and took lessons for a short while but for the two or so years have been self-taught. I just started taking lessons again though. (Yay!!! :D) Everyone I know says I'm amazing, but I don't think I'm good at all. You guys are probably WAY better than I am. :P

I am 19 and I've really just started on music in the past year or so. I've had past experience with music (I was briefly in my middle school band playing the trombone), but I was lazy and wasted it like an idiot. I found the trombone rather cumbersome (I'm quite small) and didn't practice nearly as much as I should have. At least I already knew how to read music, but I really wish I had taken advantage of the opportunity when I was younger.

I know exactly what you mean there.... people are so obsessed with child prodigies that they tend to ignore you once you get past a certain age don't they... i mean, like you said... surely musicallity (sp?) should be more important than age.
i mean, let's face it... there's never going to be another Liszt if that's the sort of thing they're expecting

I'm 14.....I've been taking piano lessons like since forever and I'm only Grade 5. I blame it on the fact that I am unwilling to practice any of the songs my piano teachers tries teaching me and only playing everything I find on the net.

Took lessons but never got far. Then i was self taught. I play FF music mostly, I can play those who fight which im very proud of. And about child prodigies. I dont like people saying im good. I can sight read properly and my theory is way off. Im starting lessons soon anyways so im happy.

Me too. I do the same thing:heh: I find the songs in the workbooks really tedious:bleh: Right now I should be on lvl(grade 7) but I don't practice, so now I'm stuck lvl 5 . I still have troubles on those "Trills"
