I've played FF1 when it was re-released for the GBA and i don't remember any town theme sounding like that. but, it does sound a bit like Castle Cornelia Which is here on this website, but that's the best i can help you with.
Sorry if i got your hopes up...

Here's the Cornelia Castle theme. If you still want the theme for the first midi, just ask, because that will take a bit more time since there are notes on one staff that jump through 3 octaves which would require some moving of notes about to other staffs.

I have here a version of the town theme which is just left as it is after converting from a midi (The one with some painful seven fingered notes *cough*) and a "simple" version in which I tried to cut off the lowest notes from the top staff to make the first half of the piece a bit simpler. After a while the piece jumps into the bass cleff, however, so I wasn't able to touch anything there.

So, the one labeled simple is with my minor tweaks (and possibly a damaged triplet or two), and the other is the pure converted midi with nothing changed.

thanks for the sheets:lol:

this song is an improvised arrangement so the tempo is not too steady...
...so it needs quite a lot of cleaning even after converting the midi....

still good job^^

btw, some of the seven fingered notes can be played by the left hand...which is very repeatative through the songs.....

heh...klutz's songs are never easy to transcribe....;; good try though...
