 well.... I dont know how many of you remember this.. it was a while ago when I last posted.. but I have a concert tomorrow, where I'm playing the whole of Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit. It's like a fundraising event, and lots of people signed up.. but see for whatever reason, they have arranged the program so that I am the last person to perform (probably because it's such a big piece).

So I'm just overly nervous now, because being the last person to perform, it's like the last thing people will hear is me... let alone the fact that in terms of specific movements, the last thing they hear will be Scarbo @_@ and, that most of the other people playing are like string quartets and the like- i.e. in a group. Plus, I'm meant to be writing some program notes to hand in this lunchtime, so thats even less time I have to practise... should have done it sooner, but at the time it wasnt a priority.

Just need some help de-stressing and calming down

ooh.. and last thing; it's being recorded and put onto a CD to sell and make more money, so when i get hold of the CD i shall post it in the recording thread

you'll be fine, remember to concentrate on the piece and not the audience. Just do what you do in every other concert you've performed in.

just pretend you're in your room playing or wherever else you play, i'm sure you'll be great!

thanks to everyone who posted... didnt really have much time to reply but i did read them.

it went fairly well *thank god* i think the audience were impressed :D so all good. even better is that those who performed in the concert get a CD of it at a lower price than anyone else, and the person who organised it all said i will have a copy by either tonight or tomorrow, so will post it in the other thread fairly soon.

thanks again

Astounding.

And you say you're more or less completely self-taught? Great effort.;)

I had a teacher for the 2 years I was at college who made me do a lot of crap, but yeah, apart from that i'm self taught.
