I guess I could try it later, during the holidays maybe, at least it's an attempt, but with all of the glissandos (at least I think that's what they are, my vocabulary was never too great) it might take quite a while. Because yeah, it is a long song as ayashi_boi noted. And to note: this doesn't mean I'm a "pro". :sweatdrop:
I'm not exactly sure how you'd like me to show the credits to you though, Stefan @__@

can you transcribe white christmas for me please? arigatou!
-Snomits-
December 16th, 2004, 07:37 pm
Ehh, I'll try White Christmas if there's a midi or a very simple mp3. Since I'm not too great at transcribing mp3's I'd rather leave that to someone else though heheh, and I don't think there is a midi of it... is there?
EDIT: How's this for the Payon theme? If you can hear anything weird, especially with the arpeggios/glissandos (like timing or dynamics), lemme know! Will post sheets later after finding out some stuff: credits to stefan in post, and would you like it on the actual sheet? and s'okay if I leave the url of my site as the footer, right? heheh...

I really like it, it sounds awsome!
So...when can we get these sheets? :D :heh:
-Snomits-
December 17th, 2004, 03:31 am
Oh, sorry I kind of have to reformat things (like fix the spacing and note values) and change left/hand note placement for the actual sheets because of all the arpeggio/glissando squigglies that go across both staves (which I don't know how to get to go on both, so I had to move all the notes to one staff..) Didn't do it earlier because I wasn't sure about the timing of some of the notes, oh well, I'll have it done during tomorrow though!
Hiei
December 17th, 2004, 04:33 am
the white christmas music is in this attachment.
arigatou!
Stefan
December 17th, 2004, 04:55 am
@Snomits.
Oh, if you're wondering about those arpeggios/glissandos, I painstakingly put 'em there manually. I don't there is a special tool for that. :P
I guess I'll leave the sheets to you, then, since I really can't get mine out. I use Noteworthy, and the score doesn't show very well. >.<
Credits to me? Er... sure you can put it on the sheets. :P And you can throw in your URL, I don't mind at all. ^^
If anyone knows where I can get a good program that'll print out sheets clearly, I'd appreciate it. :D
EDIT: As for White Christmas, I'm working on it as I type this. (I love that song) It may take a while, since I'll be a bit busy for the next few days, but with luck I guess I'll be done before Christmas. ^^

Sheets for Payon theme:
http://www.geocities.com/blemified/pdf/RO_Payon.pdf (edited path to file)
Stefan, added "arranged by Stefan" in the sheets, is that right terminology to use "arranged"? or is "transcribed" better? >_< Anyway, hope the notes are right. I use Sibelius btw, noteworthy always seemed a little messy to me and I'm very nitpicky about the order of the workspace.

Only the clock tower and fields around it has monsters, I don't understand where you're trying to go. Aldebaran is a town, much like Payon or Izlude. It has no monsters unless someone uses a Dead Branch, or a GM summons something.

Ah! I've gotten several e-mails and replies about that song heh, I just.. haven't gotten around to doing it. The file I got it from was short and it seemed to be in several songs (or at least, I've gotten a few different answers as to where it's from), hrm.
Anyway, I'll see what I can do, but I've already got a few other things I've started (and not finished because I can't decide on how to stop the left and right hands from colliding while keeping the sound accurate). Will definitely post when I do/finish it though heheh.

it was the theme of Lutie when they first added it to the world in Beta2. It was like that for about 2 weeks or so and they replaced it for whatever reason. However it's still in your RO folder under BGM\53.mp3, so they might still have it playing somewhere... maybe it went back to Lutie, I haven't been there in ages

Erm, sorry, bump.
Heh.
Anyways, this thread seems sorta interesting - if you look at it from the beginning and go all the way to this page, you'll see that it went around in circles way too many times :P But then again, 5 years have passed since the first post, or something like that.
Anyways (again), regarding the prontera themes that Snomits and Stefan transcribed:
I don't think they sound that much like the prontera theme; even listening to the MIDI they sound.. different. I think you added too much... texture to it? It sounds much better than the prontera theme, but... it just doesn't cut it. It's probably because they use an entire orchestra :heh:
Anyways (for the third time), would it be possible to transcribe, a more... accurate (I don't know, no other word to use) transcription? If nobody is willing to transcribe another one (yeah, it's a waste of time for anyone other than me) then I would be willing to transcribe it myself, assuming that someone can get me enough money to get finale :P
As an off-topic section: would FL studio work the same as Finale? As far as I know, it can't make a piano score; but it is... more fluid than finale. Is there some magical score-converting device out there? XD
And finally, just a conclusion:
I would sorta like a more accurate-ish transcription of the Theme of Prontera from Ragnarok Online - the difficulty doesn't matter, as long as you can actually play it (no this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wp60ymUZ_CE&feature=related) please). If you guys can't due to time/this-is-stupid-only-this-n00b-would-want-something-like-this issues, then I'll try to do it myself, but I would like to know whether FL studio could substitute for Finale 2007/8/9/10.
Thanks!

Alright, last bump for this thread -
for my previous post, I assume nobody's going to take the job - I will try (unsuccessfully) to transcribe it... yeah.

Hoh, deleted, I'm sure many were just ecstatic when you did Silver Bells. I did start on it ages ago but I never finished so just as well.
And pobtorns - I love creeping videos for me sheets hahah. Out of Studio A's RO arrangements, I probably do like Prontera the most. Feels like ages since doing RO songs.
Yes my site has been up and down a lot over the year as I turned to non-music stuff. But at least everything's back up and running at http://snomits.net and here to stay. Seriously this time. (Knock on wood.)
TBH I think my ear sucks. I'm terrible with chords especially and I haven't done any transcriptions for a long time. Rust, rust. Plus I've been limited to terribly out-of-tune pianos for months. I might try to at least start another RO song before tinkering with site design, but we'll see eh.
Thanks again to deleted for the Silver Bell sheets and msusukun's links.

Hurhur... I registered onto this forum JUST to reply XD
Anyway, I had fun reading from 2004 till now... Please don't let this thread die. If not I don't know where else to go XD
Firstly, I'm extremely grateful to those who did their best to transcribe those music. It's not easy >.<
I seriously think that our requests are getting out of hand though. Some of us are requesting songs that are made of synthetic sounds by the synthesiser, not the piano XD it's kinda making life difficult eh? =P but oh well, they are complaining, so i won't either... =X
Personally, I'm looking for "White Christmas" myself =) I gave up trying to play by ear =X
Just thought you guys might be interested... I just sent an email to SoundTemp (the dudes who made the BGM) and enquired if they are interested to make a song book for piano. =\ Just... pray hard that 1, they understand English. 2, they entertain a silly email like mine. 3, they actually think it's a good idea to publish a piano scorebook!!
wahahaha, once again... don't let this thread die =P

Welcome to the forums, orqngefirefly, though I'm so rarely on it myself. But the gratification of knowing the RO sheets are useful to others is admittedly swell because I think I've the largest collection of that heh (thanks again to Stefan for his arrangements).
Yeah, I'm limiting myself to Studio A's because it's already for the piano (mostly) and I really like how some off-beat notes ("bridges" for lack of better terminology) are handled. I just put up their arrangement for Be Nice'n Easy on mai site.
I suppose if anyone who ever reads this is interested in transcriptions that are more faithful to the original, I'm not the one to wait on. I just don't like the way transcribing other instruments to the piano turns out. Studio A's are nice and not too difficult to do - they just feel a tad long at 5min apiece heh.

Bwah. You make my day.
I actually said I'd do a Phantom song ("Requiem") a month ago and am still halfway through that. It's not particularly difficult but I just got sidetracked and now have no time 'til March for any of this unfortunately, I think. I shall be filing away that Purity of Your Smile version for the future though.

purity of smile? i know how to play it, unfortunately i don't have a sheetmusic of it. I play it by ear, so expect that my arrangement is not good as original arrangement. ( i added a lot of improvised chords and melodies. )
