does anyone know how to make techno music for starters? I dont have any turn tables or mixers cause i heard u can make techno or any electronic music using programs but i dont know which one to use. please someone help me! i currently have fruity loops but i dont think you can do any good with it unless you have turntables and other techno instruments. I would highly apreciate anyone that would help me x_x :bleh:

Heres somthing : Save up for a mac.

Mac has Garageband.

Garageband is good for almost all music stuff.

Garageband is the best out there. To bad its Apple exclusive...

you could do it with a keyboard with any electronic sounding instruments. Find a dance beat play that, and play anything that sounds tuneful and repetitive and bam you have a techno song. Record more layers to add to the tune.

Hehe techno!

A couple of years ago I composed with a software named FastTracker II (worked in MS DOS only), it is a software considered as a tracker, like Impulse Tracker, Modplug Tracker, etc...
I don't know if trackers are still in activity now. But in this kind of software you can make everything included techno. It requires lots of practising and perseverence though.
You can download the universal Modplug Tracker at http://www.modplug.com/
Info about Modplug Tracker: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ModPlug_Tracker
Modplug Tracker is axed Windows interface, and Skale Tracker is for those who like the DOS interface of FastTracker II (like me ^^)

Well just try it, if you want some XM, I can send you some of mine I composed a long time ago :)

For techno use FL it's good with some VSTi. Or you can try Reason with some Refills.
