View Full Version : What's the highest level/largest word you can think of in your vocabulary?

Distant Dreamz
May 28th, 2006, 03:31 am
Just some randomness...:heh:

As the title states, what is the highest leveled word you can think of and a definition? (obviously no criticising others, because we're all better than that, I hope...):\

EDIT: If you don't speak English as a main language, I suppose you can post the largest/highest level vocab word in your language, but of course, supply an English version/definition of the word as well.

I could think of an infinity of more complex ones, but the word "ambiguous" is one of my favorite in the dictionary. It means something has no definitive answer, like fuzzy shades of grey in a black and white world.

Wrong, that's Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantyssili ogogogoch. It's the name of a town in Wales.

edit: I don't know why that space is there.. it shouldn't be there x_x

THANK YOU, :heh:

Oh, my word is solipsism, it and nostalgia have been stuck in my head for the past three weeks:think: ... I think.

Solipsism: if someone is solipsistic, they believe that the only thing they can prove truly exists is themself.

Nostalgia: mourning of past events--the yearning for previous joys that may never come again.

:heh: I should really get checked that I'm not suffering from depression...

I was just going to say "Infinity", when I saw Meim's post. So, that is out of the question.

Hmm... English is not my main language.... and the word with the "highest level" that I know of would then be...... uh..... maybe... "contamination" or "understatement" or... ah.... Well, just about every word is "high level" for me. English is just sooo cool!
