Im just curious since i like anime but.... as you know... some people think it childish...

now how old are you guys? and do you guys like anime? (since i watch rurouni kenshin... and like it.... but there's always someone who will mock me at it... lol)

Most of my friends watch Anime, only one person has ever said anything insulting towards me for watching anime and that is Christina, she's one of my best friends but she can't stand anime... she pinches my ears and slaps me on the back of the head at school, or at least she used to, she moved. :(

Relative theories in the world. Did you know that skyfish were not just created for anime? Mentioned in Eureka Seven and in Zettai Shonen, it is an actual theoritical creature. Quantam Physics and the legends of the lost cities (Laputa, Atlantis, and Shangri-La's agnosium(I can't spell it)) are also common places in anime.

Then again, shows like Azumanga Daiou and Excel Saga that are completely off the wall with no connection to logic at all. You try and find something in the real world other than Chaos Theory, Quantam Physics and The Butterfly Effect (well... Those do have logic in them, just in an entirly different perspective) that can do that.

People just don't want to spend the time to digest just how much information is in anime.

Evangelion just uses religion because the makers thought that was more interesting. There's nothing deep about it, except for the mental breakdown the director had during the second half of the series.

OAV is the anglicize translation (English) to OVA. It signafies that the animation was never shown on TV and was released directly to tape. They both work, but most people use OVA when talking about animes that it applies to.

Anyway, your as old as you act. I would think a thirteen year old wiseman could handle himself better than a twenty-two year old fool. Anime doesn't affect maturity and can be really complex on a mature level. So for those who sterotype because of that, screw em' (pardon me language).

The system with feet, inches and pounds is called the Imperial system. The Metric system is the one with metres, centimetres and kilograms. Actually, you'll find that the metric system is so much simpler because it always works with multiples of 10, where as 3 feet = 1 yard, 12 inches = 1 foot etc, 14 pounds = 1 stone (I think, just off the top of my head). There is a much simpler pattern in metric systems ;)

What I meant by that is that if you're short and running away from something, it's much more easier because you can hide behind shorter stuff.

I'm kind of tall for a female, 5' 9"/175cm or something like that. I can run fairly fast and fairly long. My endurance ain't the best but better than most... Okay nevermind. The most I ever ran was like only 8km / a half hour T_T I quit the track team and now I'm so out of shape.

How long is 8 km?

I'm 15, about 5'5"/165-166cm, and I'm not telling you my weight. I don't think I'll be growing anymore...I might be 5'6" like my mom, but probably not.

A lot of people think I'm older than I really am. At school, people who don't know me think I'm 16-18, and outside of school, someone thought I was about 25! So, no one thinks I'm a student unless I have my backpack or my class shirt/school sweatshirt.

Tall people have stuff to fear too. Taller, more muscular people or stuff like that.

It really depends on how high you are and how high the bookshelf is, because sometimes even tall people need a stepstool or ladder to get to those very high bookcases.
