Well, someone seems full of themself, pardon me for saying so. Let me get this straight...you "left" the forum only to come back to brag about your arrangement that's going to be performed?

"World Premiere", huh? Funny. Hope it all goes well.

Yea, I know I said I left - but it doesn't mean I can't come back once in a while and tell of signifigant events! :)

Anyway,

I'll scan in a picture of the program and I am trying to find a converter from .ppp (NOT POWER POINT PACKAGE) to a .wmv

EDIT:

Yea, here's the program. Sorry for the size though, now you'll know where I get "World Premiere" from. :P http://xs101.xs.to/xs101/06231/img002.jpg

So... you're in charge of what now?

Not to be meant rude, but could you rephrase that again?

What's your part in this program? Are you the founder? The arranger?

@death : LoL

~~~
Ok, yea sorry, didn't really say what I did. Oh boy, story time :
Mainly, over the past 3ish months I arranged for Piano & School Band (Skill wise). I had to transpose, and did different variations of it as well. I made the entire middle section have the single themes come out and end with all of them counter-pointing each other.
I had some Theory Tips through the way from my teacher, Mark Helgert (Jazz Express, Composer, Band Teacher) and he really helped me give the confidence to do this.
Mainly I was:
Composer, Arranger, Soloist (Piano).
HINT HINT : Since summer is coming around, and more composing might come up from me, I MIGHT started a new compositions thread and return. I'm almost doing nothing atm with composing and wish to post again lol. EDIT: In fact, I'll start right now, but I wont post any of the ones that I have composed over time, but I'll be active again.
Yes, I'd like to hear this song as well. :P
I know what you mean about publishing and such though. My dad has written some absolutely incredible music but he hasn't ever gotten around to getting it copy written, so I can't post it because it could be stollen. >.<
If it's so important, just make a recording and stick it in while playing: "COPYRIGHT _______" :mellow:
Lol, well...
Here's my copy of:
Prelude for Piano and Orchestra in C Minor - "Ship Voyage"
This version is the cloest to the one I arranged for band. I'll also take a picture of a "collage" of the score parts so you can beleve me EVEN MORE. :lol: Mainly because I am getting the felling of: "Omg, this kid is gay, he liez." In which I hate when people think to a variable like that x_x *Put Fake COPYRIGHT on the fotter of the song-file - just cuz im fake.
EDIT : Yea, it's really picked apart compared to my first version of it that I posted on here. The whole B section doesnt repeat same with the reintroduction of the main theme.
Not bad, not bad at all...In fact, I'll even go as far as to say it is okay! (I'm just kidding, it's great!:lol: )
There were some gripes I have with the volumes of certain instruments at certain points, but I'll just focus on the actuall composition.
I really like it a lot overall. I enjoy what you do with the piano where it plays the two notes up high. It adds a nice effect. The piano did get a bit repetitive throughout the piece though. I wished there were a bit more variety, but it wasn't even that big a deal. I did like what you did with some of the wind instruments though and the orchestration was done fairly well. The song as a whole though did seem to be a bit too repitant, but only a bit. (Perhaps it is just me even) I did think you were going to end it at 2:48, so it was a bit surprising when you continued. I did enjoy the actuall ending though.
Overall, great piece. I can tell you put a lot of work into this and I enjoyed it. It wasn't exactly the most amazing composition I've ever heard around these forums, but for an eigth grade band arrangement, great job, Lol. :)
Yea, thanks man. I <3 compliments or even comments. Cough Maestros Compositions 2 cough =P JK! JK!!!
Anyway, yea I meant it to be a little repeditive, and boisterious a little. Mainly because.. WTF SHIP VOYAGE (!) and it's kind of based on a Ship weathering some stormy and harsh weather. Also, it sounds Piratey (the Band version).
Thx agn.
EDIT : But in the Band version. I had to write snares, mallets, GONG =D, CYMBAL =D, CHIMES =D
Which the last three really put it together, but you only hear them once.. each in the piece lol!
Do you have the live performance audio?
edit: haha, but a ship voyage is boring if you make it boring. Add some cool effects - thunder, pirate attacks, typhoons! Woooo! >_>
Just a video in which I need to get a converter for.
Only uploads as a .ppp file- need to find a different way to make it .wmv, unless you buy the camera for 1,200 Bucks with its own software! :\
EDIT : omg, I saw ur edit! WTF
Lol, in the arrangement I have a cymbal and a depressing snare part rofl! and chimes, glockspiel, gong to make it sound a little cooler.
