i dunno if its me, but it seems like anime and video game music is hard to come by for a bass. does anyone have any suggestions to where i can go to find a place for basses?

String bass or guitar bass?
None that I know of, unfortunately, I play string bass myself and usually I just traspose cello music down an octave (note that bass sheet music is writen an octave higher than played so the cello music is exactly what you'd have to play) and play that, though, sometimes you need the low C extension for that.
