I hate Mac's with a passion. They are not user friendly. At least not the ones at uni. Bloody things.

Windows for life.

O_O Mac's are very user friendly; and they're pretty, easy to use, and very stable

I haven't really used a Mac since my early childhood at my father's work. I tried using one a while back and I had no idea how to copy or paste or anything. That might be Zach's problem, there.

There are a lot of versions of Linux out there. I don't think we would all be talking about the same version.

The only thing Mac is good for is movie editing.

Windows XP Pro all the way!^_^

I cant really vote for one or the other (I havent used mac or windows) but from what I can gather each OS (Mac/Win/*nix) each has a way of doing things so that if you are using a "windows mentality" both *nix and OSX will not be very user friendly.

Im guessing/hoping that its a matter of how you get introduced into the OS and how open you are to its way of doing things.

It really depends on what you use the most. If you use windows, of course you are going to have difficulty toubles if you change systems. Personally I say mac, but I have been using mac all my life. I've gotten used to the windows at school, but I perfer mac. I suppose whatever you are used to.

Darn Steve Jobs and Bill Gates!!!! Dumb rivalry!

No one is in a good position to judge which is better unless we were to be fully knowledgeable and competent in its usage.

Macs all the way... actually not I still use windows just because it is 90% of like all computers run on it so it works much nicer. but Macs are better the only reason why they aren't used is because of advertising and how windows threw in all the nifty little excesseriys. but yeah Macs are better but I still use windows.

If your REALLY bored one day, try to do everything you normally do through MS-DOS. Then you will really appreciate Windows.

Not necesarily.. true Macs require less maintenance and have "security through obscurity" but a well maintained machine (this means no pr0n, healthy web surfing habits, common sense and a spyware/AV scan every once and a while) with either XP/OSX should run with similar "Speed" especialy now that Apple is making the switch to Intel.

i think that windows wins since it has many many MANY more programs that support windows over mac.... i mean if theres program... you can PROBABLY (not always) assume that it works okay on windows...

Mac! MAC!!!

Mac's may not have all those things Microsoft has (all they have is garageband.. dang it, no ms paint) but its hell as easy to use and with bootcamp coming it will be a lot better!

MAC O_O

*no spywear/ware*

EDIT: after reading the last page... wow. Lets compare Windows 1.0 with Mac os x while were at it.

M

Er--Windows 3.x for workstations you mean? I don't think there ever was a public release of Windows 1.0.

RD

I find it funny that you mention that Macs have no spyware just after talking about Bootcamp, you do realise that running Windows on a Mac does open it up to all the vunerabilities of a PC running Windows right?

RD

Yes it does, but does that mean ms paint is better then garageband?
