Can anybody tell me some of their favorite pieces (for piano), and give me a link to them if they're not on this site?
I'd love to hear other people's favorites :) And since I haven't really been able to find a ranking order of "most downloaded" sheet music, I figured I would ask here.
Personally, I like kind of mellow yet somewhat deep pieces, like Spirited Away's "The Sixth Station" or Himiko-Den's "Pure Snow" but I'm interested in hearing everything.
Thanks, if you post your opinion! ^.^

oooh I love Chopin. He's definitely one of my favorite composers, if not the favorite.
I have a friend working on Pathetique - isn't that one of Beethoven's most famous works? hehe it's so long, I printed out the first page anyways though to try it out.
Eva- I think translated from french it means something like "From on top of the snow" or "Across the snow" or something along those lines... that's all I know about other names. For a Debussy it's not particularly difficult. I have it in my copy of the Henle Album ;) I love that book
Speaking of which, has anybody here every played Skrjabin? (also Scriabine and Skryabin) I just found one of his 1-page preludes and it's beautiful ^.^

Anyway.. an easy way to remmeber Beethoven's "popular" or more renouned favorite works, have a name for them. "Pathetique" or my personal favorite piece by Beethoven, "Les Adieux" (3rd movment)
EDIT:
Some other good Beethoven Sonatas are:
"Waldstien"
"Hammerklavier"
"Tempest" < GREAT GREAT
"Moonlight" (Actually, this wasn't named by Beethoven!)
Some other ones. just the better ones

back image music, by i've sound for please teacher
someday the dream will end, by nobuo uematsu for final fantasy x
broken wings, sung by tomoko tane from trinity blood
reverie, by claude debussy
all of the other classical stuff i play i don't know the names of off the top of my head. i just know i i liked some piano concerto by sergei rachmaninov, a lot of pieces by frederic chopin and peter tchaikovsky. classical music, although i like it, has never been what i practiced up until very recently. when i was little, i started on pop, refusing to play classical or jazz like my parents wanted me to. then i headed off into game music, and that actually got me into wanting to play classical. when i'm not so lazy, i'll dig up the actual titles of the classical pieces i enjoy playing.

The Dying Swan-Tchaikovsky, from Swan Lake ballet
Usually a cello piece but....I guess if you really wanted to play it on the piano you could. I warn you, this piece will make you weep uncontrolably, especially if you see the ballet choreography with it as well.
Tchaikovsky is the greatest:)
