Okay this is for younger members. Anyone under 30 years old can hear a loud screeching if you're older, you won't hear it. This really works. my friend's mom couldnt hear this, but it bothered the hell out of him. it works on a high frequency. People use this for a ringtone so adults can't hear =3

Inventor Howard Stapleton, creator of the Mosquito teen repellent, says only a few people over age 30 can hear the Mosquito's sound.

the article says that most people over 30 can't hear it.

I think T made an error when he typed 20. :heh:

They had something on the news and radio about this a while ago.
Shops and businesses were going to blast that out at high volume on the streets, if there were misbehaving kids; to make them go away. Don't think that idea caught on tho.

My brothers and dad are watching Fifa and I went and asked if they heard "it"

My older brother said "that screech?"

My younger brother said "what sound? I want to know! WHAT SOUND?!"

My dad said "what?..?"

Gand
June 20th, 2006, 06:36 pm

RD
June 20th, 2006, 06:43 pm
My dad cant and he just acts all stupid like "what sound?..???" and my little brother, when he gets close to the speakers, just yells "OWWW! TUEN IT OFF!!!"

Gand
June 20th, 2006, 10:04 pm
actually I found could hear it when i turned it up loud.. and I could hear it when I put it on my treo, but it's REALLY painful.

Now, 3 hours later, I have a ringing in my ears (like after a concert). I wouldn't suggest anyone listen to that if you value your hearing.

Ummm... That was completely illogical. Because you're never gonna hear something you can't hear. The word "can't" covers a lot. XD

Anywho...

Yea, the brother that's 27 heard it actually, but the noise affected him more sensitively than to me.

I guess when he walks into malls he goes like 'WTF?' From some noise or frequency.

2 days later, I still have that sound in my head. I think I really hurt something. It sounds like there's a TV on inside my head. Not so bad that I can't sleep, but it is annoying. I suppose if it doesn't go away by monday i'll see a doctor <_<
