Here's a picture I drew in many, many boring free lessons at school.
It looks OK at first, but... there's always something wrong with the way I draw...
Can someone point out what I need to improve on? I think it's mainly proportions, but what else? @_@

What do you mean? That looks great!

Proportions.. either she's 13 and her body's too long, or she's 18 and way too skinny =P Give her some more shape, especially around the hips (or make her a bit shorter if it's supposed to be a younger girl.

Maybe try to make the face a bit rounder, this is very DBZ like ~ but that's of course your decision to make. And try adding some shading, often really spices things up :)

When drawing the face/head, first, draw an oval or a sphere. Bisect it vertically and horizontally where the nose and eyes will be. Add a triangle at the bottom for the chin. Add the hair onto the top of the oval/sphere later.

Her right eye looks sad but her left eye is winking... doesn't seem right to me.

something about her eyes look weird. The right eye looks like it is really really low because the left is is really streched out. Also her neck seems a little too thin making it look like her head will fall off. But it is still a nice drawing!! good job!!!

i see that you struggled drawing the left eye, cuz there's a lot of ... erased pencil marks or something . . . i don't give out advice anymore, ppl don't listen to them. . . except for ::
if you want to learn manga/anime style ... pick up a piece , and try and copy it, and take others and copy too, you'll notice figures and shapes, and techniques of your own. . .

It's pretty cute. ^__^ I like her eye, it's unique. However, her other eye... it looks like you didn't bother to draw it. I'm guessing she's winking, but with the neutral expression, it looks weird. X.x Sorry...

Also, as it was mentioned before, she's not very proportional. Her chest looks awkward in relation to her waist and hips. Her neck is slightly too thin and too long for her shoulders, which makes her head look bigger than the rest of the body.

It&#39;s really pretty. Something just sort of looks weird about the eyes and the cat ears. The ears..I&#39;m guessing you were trying to draw them so you could see the pink inside of the cat ear but...the way it was placed doesn&#39;t look right because she&#39;s looking straight forward. Looks like her ears are on almost backwards, lol. And with the eyes... if she&#39;s winking, her other eyes should look a little happier and the closed eye be up a little higher...not too much though&#33; I&#39;m not good at drawing, so you can disreguard what I said if you don&#39;t think it looks good :D Anyway, it&#39;s really pretty ^^

i cant really be a critic since i cant draw for shit my self...but its a good drawing ^_^
