Thank you...

The best advice I can give ya is: Google is your friend, search anthing and everything. You will usualy find alot of ways to do what you want, tutorials always give some inspiration too.

And Layers are there for a reason, Ive had to start alot of things over just cause I was lazy to use layers and messed up.

Saving in .psd is recommended too.

Well, I think a personal tip would be better than tutorials because tutorials usually are hard to understand.

Tuts are only hard if you're too lazy to really pay attention to them.

Well written tuts....(But then again most are)

Best advice is, dont give up. I tried the gimp once..tutorials confused me, it seemed useless and it was a pain. I kep using it for basic paint like stuff. Came back to it about a month later...then figured out how to use layers and the basics of transparency...after that I pretty much understand what people mean.

Or that he is new to CG art meaning all those terms tuts use are not in his brain yet meaning he cant get past the tut title...

Fool around with it. Just do random thing. Remember, ctrl+alt+Z is your best friend in PS.
