do you like chrono trigger or chrono cross?

I love them both :D

I played Chrono Trigger to the end, but I didn't really get into Chrono Cross (probably because I never owned the game :P )

Chrno Trigger was the only rpg I've actually played for more than 5 minutes, haha. I got somewhere in the middle . . . well, maybe 1/4 of the way. Then I don't know why, but I stopped playing after that, probably because I had to restart from the beginning so many times.

chrono trigger is a masterpiece. not too sure about chrono cross because i've never played it.

Chrono Trigger...definitely classic

it has like 8 endings or something like that, so you should get back at it :P

chrono cross ate months of my lifetime.. its really good

I beat chrono trigger so many times I bet I could beat it in 1 hour! but chrono cross is another story,once I see a sad part I stop playing it for like 5 mins and keep on playing!but I havent beat chrono cross though to think about it I havent beat FFX-2 or FFX but im close!

I've definitely devoted days on end at playing CT. The music alone is a reason that I like it so much. I never got to and probably won't get to Chrono Cross.

probley not CC is 2 disks long!

I've beaten both, and I loved them. The Chrono series both have good graphics, kick-ass soundtracks, cool characters and intriguing storylines.

They are voluntary people with different talent and skills who are planning to remake the top 10 scenes of Chrono Trigger. It can sound cheesy, but it looks actually really good ! They even did a remake of the midi's (three sample in the media section) and they sound great.

It will be playable on PC.

Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross are like the best rpgs ever! I loved Chrono Cross because of the graphics and its one of the few games i've ever beaten without cheats. I just can't get the special good ending, where you said kid that stuck with the time devourer. Chrono Break? Wasn't that one cancelled a long time ago? If not, then three years of developement without any official news is quite strange.

I heard Square did register the name but I thought they were still under planning, nothing even started

Who knows what got lost in the merger. It may have just been cancelled when Square was on the verge of bankruptcy and hasn't been picked back up yet. It would be noce though, they seem to be going a little FF crazy right now.

Square, bankruptcy?... i'm so sure it was enix that got eaten by square.. enix has been low for years

maybe square was more bankrupt.. seeing as how they were giving out PC's expensive as cars to their staff

Nope, after FF:Spirits Within square was extremely low in funds. They did set up a completely state of the art film studio to make it in and it bombed horribly. After that any game with lackluster sales would have damn near finished them. Remember, they do have the highest production costs in the industry so What would seem like plenty of money to another company was vergin on bankrupt for square. However, the situation wasn't near as bad as the Sammy-Sega merger that's going on now. Stockholders in Sega only get 1/3 the number of new stocks.

oh yeah.. i forgot about the spirits within.. well advent children might just finish them off... XD

I think they're actually getting some third party help on that. I'm pretty sure they sold off their film studio to try and recoup some losses, I'm not willing to stake my honour on that though.

Chrono Trigger freaked me out, but CC was great. I'm playing through for about the tenth time...

WHAT I THINK ABOUT CT AND CC

Chrono Trigger: First RPG i played in english :heh: i think i beat that game....over 10 times now...
considering it's for SNES the graphics are really really good (in fact aside from Secret of Mana 2 i dun think anything else can compete with it).
The music...errr did i mention Yasunori Mitsuda is my fav composer (need i say more??)
The Story is EXCELLENT (i won't give anything away for ppl that actually never played this game)
I think the best thing about this game is the battle system (dunno anything that can top that ^.^ )

Chrono Cross: My number one obsession for a VERYVERYVERYVERY long time i think i beat this one....3 times only (borrowed my cousin's ps1)
Graphics is BREATH TAKING...one of the best i have ever seen
Music is still my one all time fav (YASUNORI MITSUDA XD)
The battle system: not as good as chrono trigger!!!!

:mellow: Huh? What does a budget do? Is that borrowed money or something? Any how, I love Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross so much!! The only thing that draws me back is how the characters look in Chrono Trigger, they look like DBZ drawings...which I (no offense) despise. I mean, it just ruins the whole thing...

oh. when i mean under-budget i mean that square didnt think much of the game so put less money to it. and look at it now! think what it would be if there was more money put to it

Chrono Trigger is a brilliant RPG. I have never played Chrono Cross.

I played Chrono Cross but not Chrono Trigger and I love it! I would never had tried it if my friend never played it first, I sat next to him and watched, and wanted to play and now I love it :D. I really hope they make another version, Chrono Break or something.

I played them both, I liked Chrono Trigger more....I think it was the battle style that I didnt like in Chrono Cross...either way their both good, I also liked Toriyama's Art for the remake on the PSX (Original Playstation)

Played both beat both so many tiems that ive lost count
Its too bad CHrono Trigger REvolution was cancelled which is a fan made remake of CT in 3d :) it looked so good but Square gave it the axe :(
Music, story, and everything else owns in both games

That was a compleatly diffrent game Laguna. One was Final Fantasy Tactics, the other was Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, two compleatly diffrent games :)

I loved chrono trigger and I thought chrono cross was okay.

The second disc of CC seemed a bit rushed in the end...

How the three kids pretty much summed up the rest of the story in text for 5 minutes

and the ending to CC I found was quite sad

Schala spending the rest of her life looking for Serge

However, CC has really nice graphics and the music was so beautiful. It rivals that of many of the Final Fantasy games in my opinion.

Apparently, CC was a PSX remake of the SNES game "Radical Dreamers". I've heard that it explains the story better than CC. Has anyone played this?

Also, what's this I hear about Chrono Break? Is it a sequel? If so, when's it coming out, and on what platform?

If your a Trigger fan, yes. But it isnt a must, I herd it wasnt all that anyways.

In my opinion Chrono Trigger is the best or second best Square game (the only one who might beat CT is FFVI) but I didn´t liked Chrono Cross, the story is very strange and the connection between CT and CC has many failures.

Well, thats like saying all Final Fantasies have to have a connectino to each other, and none dont (excespt for X and X-2) so they all suck.

Maybe the point of Chrono Cross was to make a game with a theme like Trigger, but a new story line compleatly. I was wondering where everyone was when I first got CC, but that doesnt mean its a bad game. If so, all FF's but FFI are crap because theres no connection ;)

Well the game had good points and it can be good (i just didn´t like) but what I wanted to say was that the game had a connection, you talk to Crono, you see Lucca´s house, Radius talk about the fall of Guardia (and that is in my opinion the biggest failure: the Chronicles shows the fall of Guardia but how a person who defeated Lavos and had the best magical attack of CT could be beaten?) I don´t think it is a bad game, just a strange game.

I was annoyed with Chrono Crosses battle system. As for the fall of Guardia, I've never figured it out myself. =]
