People, how much is a video-game, like PS2 or Nintendo GameCube in your country?

It depends on how long is has been out. Popular, just-released games usually run about $50-$60 bucks. That depends on where you buy too. Normal games run about $30, while sometimes they'll have bargin games from $15-$20.

I myself like to buy things cheap, therefore I generally buy them second hand. Feel free to correct me on prices since it has been a while since I actually bought a game a full price. The last one I did has Halo for the Xbox for $30. That was after it had been out a year also.

In Japan, new games can run up to about 7,000~8,000 yen, which is about 69-79 dollars.

Some DS games, even new, can be as low as 20~30 dollars here in America. It's quite nice. The prices seem to vary for console games by developer, but Sondagger was pretty correct from what I've seen.

a new console game is £40 pounds, but some shops sell them now for like £37.99 just so it looks cheaper.... as it is@_@

I now get my video games from the company that supplies the video store since they get a discount on all new and old games, way cheaper than going to the store and buying it off the shelf.

like sondagger said a new game here costs about $50. however in california ther a freaking 8.25 tax thing so it comes out to be $52. Importing wise it useally $60-$70.

New PS2, XBOX and GCN games are around 50 USD. New DS games are either 30 USD for 3rd party games or 35 UDS for first party (Nintendo games). I think that new 360 games are 60 UDS.

Check Costco for games. Sounds like a weird place but the bundles they make save many and I found a bunch of DS games for 17 UDS too!!

More good news from the fine folks at Sony.

Guess I'll pass on the PS3.

I might get a PS3 once I decide to get a job...

I know a couple of places where you can buy used games for under $15. I bought 007: NightFire for just $10! And used games actually work pretty well!

I once saw a game for 5 dollars. It was a crappy game though. Unlimited Saga. I hate the high video game prices. They should make retail prices lower than 50 bucks. That's too much for me.

Wow, a lot of you guys have great prices on games.

Pennsylvania's got new games for 49.99$, and with tax it usually goes up to about 52/53$.

Used games are the way to go. If they don't work, you just take em' back! As someone above me said,... Used games FTW!

New games where I live cost around $60-70.

Greatest hits cost $30-20.

Used probably cost around $20-10.

Crappy games cost $1-10.
