i just read the series up to BAA: last order (book 7) and i wanted to know- any other Alita fans?
i found it all exellent. although its for older readers (due to violence in all its forms) if anyone is looking for something to read and has not seen this, i recommend it. for anyone who has seen it, id love to hear comments and stuff. backround story, curtesy of anime new network
The people and cyborgs of the Scrap Yard live beneath the flying city of Tiphares, whose inhabitants dump their junk in the Scrap Yard and rules above it's inhabitants. One day doc Ido, a former Tipharean citizen, finds the intact head of young cyborg-girl in a vast pile of scrap. He takes her in and gives her a body and the name Alita. Alita then discovers since long forgotten fighting techniques hidden in her body and decides to become a hunter-warrior like Ido.
The last Order is an alternate ending for B.A.A. its starts when alita is killed by the doll-bomb, she is resurrected by Nova and given an even more powerful body. Then she finds herself in a devastated Tiphares, where a battle between Tiphareans with brain-chips and those without is raging. At the same time as the automatic security systems goes on a rampage killing anything that moves.
Set in an alternate future where Alita is reconsturcted by Desty Nova Alita is lost in a future she doesn't understand. For Alita everyone she loves is gone or have moved on. Alita starts on a quest to find Lou. Alita starts on a journey That will change her future and make her come face to face with her past.
its very good, sad, many times funny, very stylish and cool. i hope i get the 8th book soon.
