has anyone else heard about or watched this anime? I watched the first episode and thought it was pretty good.
(now before everyone starts yelling at me I searched the forums and couldn't find another thread that's about this anime but if there is one the please give a link.)

*starts transparent yelling at leonheart*

Actually Juuni Kokuki is a pretty good series. It doesn't have a very clear ending (in fact it just suddenly stops right where it should pick up!), but the storyline is quite intresting, based off of Fuyumi Ono's novels. Actually it would be more accurate to say complicated. I can't recall how many times I had to refer back to the general map of the world just to figure out who was where when and why (I actually plotted one down on a sheet of notebook paper). It is very heavy in mythology (I think chinese).

You'll need a little patience with this one, but it does have a bit of bounty.

This anime was never finished I think the director ran out of money or something thats why the ending's like that it isn't the actual ending.

btw, is this one licensed? I didn't find it on your list

I heard that the anime producer is taking a "undefinable" leave from the anime until he scopes out all the books, then sets an episode ceiling.

'tis because it is called Juuni Kokuki. The English title is "The Twelve Kingdoms" ;) And yes it is licensed. You kind of have to buy it before you download it.

I still had a hard time when the story kept refering to the 12 Ki's and Kou's, and there what-ja-ma-call-it Servents, along with Rakun and just about everything else has its own special name. Hell, the Ki's and Kou's have two names depending on who is talking to them! A good example of too much termonology.

(and Kokuki and Kokki are pretty much the same phonetically, but Kokuki is correct via Japanese Romanji)

45 are out, though people claim once the producer gets off his ass, it'll be 70.

And for those that do not know this, the first of seven volumes of the original novel is coming out in mid March (hardcover). Translation services are provided by tokyopop. Sadly I haven't found out if tokyopop is going to modify the story so that it salutes the anime version (like they did with the seikai novels) or if they're going to try and retain the original novel version of this story.

Would you stop going to every single thread to ask if the anime is good? Read the fucking topics for a change.

HI I watched this series a while ago and found it very interesting. They planned on making a second season but i think they ran out of money and the public will just have to wait. I found it while searching through anime series and found it at my public library so i didn't have to buy it or anything. It also had a nice little booklet with info and terms like what the kouchou and hinman are. I like the part concerning Taiki the most. My dad says that has read all of the books but it was in Japanese:heh:. I am pretty sure that either the producer doesn't have enough money or the show wasn't popular enough because i know that all of the books are finished. I will try to write more.

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!:death: They are not going to produce a second season. THe first wasn't popular enough and so the director decided not to do it again.

I will try to find it again but as far as i know, they are not creating another season since it wasn't very popular. I saw the article somewhere and will try to find it again.

the article aparently got deleted but i am sure that they are not making another season. if the director was looking for the books, they are all over the internet. I know this because i have read them all online.
