The time is coming around again! The NFL (National Football League) will be going back into swing. Any predictions for the up coming season?

In my opinion, the Pittsburgh Steelers will either make it a back to back victory at the Superbowl, or really really suck. It all depends if Big Ben (Ben Roethlisberger- Quarter Back) has become shaken up from his accident.

What do you all think?

What do I think? I think the sport itself is in dire need of a name change.

Deimon Devil Bats will beat all

And I agree with Noir.

*is an American so the term Football generally refers to this sport and not soccer*

I personally think that the Steelers are awesome (their coach as this funny little mustache) I'm also a fan of Roethlisberger, I've watched a game between the 49ers and Steelers.

We have a rookie for a QuaterBack :(
He stinks so badly, he could hold the ball and get read to throw and the ball suddenly SLIPS out of his hands making it go into a fumble.
He did that at least three BEEPIN' times last seasons ARRRGG.

I still kinda want the 49ers to win even if they have no chance XD

But do we here actually care about what Americans say?

In general, nobody in the world does XD

Aw Angelic, your just jellous that you dont get to watch a sport where unnaturally large built men slap each other on the butt!

Anyways, I drove by the Steeler's training camp the other day. WOW! 15,000 people were there on that small campus! The turn off to make the left into St. Vincents from Rt. 30 was like a mile long!

Hm...not American football fans, now are we? Well, that's fine, but...

In all respect, please post something relevant rather than question the name. (And I'm sorry, there was really no way to say that without sounding disrespectful, even with 'all respect' being said. I might even be overreacting.)

Anyway, my dad will be rooting for the Giants...as usual...x_x

Broncos are probably going to make it into the play-offs again, but I doubt that they'll get in the superbowl. Eagles will probably make it into the play-offs as well. Carolina Panthers aint gonna make it again, they get like one shot every five years and they just missed theirs last year.

^^ i agree... there's got to be better things to be bitter about in this world than a name of a sport.

Anyway, I've been a Steelers fan for many, many years and it was awesome to see them finally win the big one. My dad and uncle lived through the 70s victories and it was really cool to watch this one with my old man.

I don't think Rothlesberger's accident will affect him at all except for giving something for the commentators to talk about. I think losing Randel El and Jerome will be tough, but we have a new wide reciever rookie who might be awesome. It will be a very tough season, but I think it will be a strong one.

Well, he did ask for opinions on the sport and Noir and I just voiced ours. Other than that I know little about American Football, but I must admit that it's not as stupid as it looks at first glance. I've been watching Eyeshield 21 for a while now and it made me understand that the game's actually quite tactical.

Yeah, Randle El and The Bus will be missed. BUT. Thats what we have fast Willie Parker and Duce Staley for!

Anyone think that the Steelers will be the first to have 6 Superbowl wins?

We all know the Patriots will destroy the Colts, or they'll play like they did last year and kill the Patriots,

..which they lost. I'm glad Ben looked good though. I don't look too much into preseason (steelers went 2-2 last year) but the 3rd-down defense was terrible. Hope they can figure that out in the next few preseason games.

Yeah, its only pre season, plus they were in a new stadium and I wouldn't want to embarrase the home team on thier first game in the new stadium.

Trust in the Cower Power, it gets the job done! ^_^

Sweet Gand! It's so hard to get tickets to those games, especially against the Bengals!

Here is a true dedicated Steeler fan, they come from all the corners of the globe just to watch a game!

Wish I could be there! :( I probably will end up watching the game at home.
