Well now i suppose i can mention a little about my self. I am from the pittsburgh area of Pa. and am 18 years old. Ive been working wih music since i was about 8. In the last few years ive begun working on arranging songs and a little bit of composing. Over a period of time i will be posting my finished works. I would greatly appriciate feedback in the forms of suggestions or comments anything. The pieces ive worked with range greatly from orchestration to type of music. I have jazz arranged for stage bands to christmas songs for brass ensambles. I hope u enjoy and can give me any thoughts u have on them. TY

PS: Some of you have already heard trio sonata number 2 but i did some revising on the suggestions made. I still ahve a little bit of proofreading (im sure you will hear the wrong notes lol) but besides that it is now finished!

The beginning of the Christmas one sounded a bit random. And in most of the pieces, the brass would sometimes get like really loud or something. Then again, it might just be that it's in MIDI format. Oh, and the Wasted Time Reprise was the most catchy, I think.

Overall, though, these are really good songs, IMO. Keep it up - and I hope to hear more from you!

you should have just ended "wasted time" on the climb! It would have been a strong well emphasized ending to the song but when you continued it to its current ending, it lost its strength.

I listened to the Christmas one, and it was pretty nice! You've got the band 'feel' there! Like Marlon said about the beginning part, it *seemed* a little random, and I'm thinking you were trying to do that 'jazz' feel that some Christmas pieces did? It's pretty nice. As for your sonata, I've commented on the other thread... :)

Well i guess i will post a couple more songs up here now. These are orchestrated for small jazz ensambles. The one song Sinaran isnt sounding exactly right in the midi but the parts that really stand out are so dont mind the couple misounding notes. As well there are a few falls not coming through. There are also two songs yu will recongnize from the lion king. The last chords sound open becuase there will some day (maybe) be a third song and all three will be linked. These are arranged for full concrt band.
PS: be patient with Children of Sanchez it will start takes a few seconds.

Sometimes the instruments would sound too loud or boomy, but the songs themselves are very good! You can definitely feel their groove. :)

Just a couple things I wanted to point out. First, in Sanchez, why do all the trumpet parts play in unison? May I suggest that durring the second time the trumpets play the chorus, have one or two of the trumpet parts transposed down a fith. With the exception of a few notes here and there, it should harmonize pretty well. Another thing in Sanchez I would like to question, why in that one section is there so many notes in the whole note chords? I dont think there would be enough trumpets to cover each note in each part. My overal suggestion is to try and vary the parts a little more insted of haveing them play in unison.

Other than that you are doing a Great Job! Keep up the Good Work!

At the beginning, you can't really hear the melody as well as I would like to, but that's a nice arrangement. Great job.

Well now that I have been gone for an excessive amount of time I am finally back. I appologize to anyone who made any requests which i failed to get to before my lap of sanity. Now with a great deal more musical knowledge and a much better ear for musciality and beauty I am more willing than ever to take any requests you have. At the same time i will be working on my own pieces, and trying to keep up with the schedule a music theory major must carry (otta love 20 credits or more per semester) Furthermore I now have the experiance to bring new forms of music here. I have been studying Ethnomusicology (the study of ehtnic music) and will hopefully bringing arrangments of foreign songs here. With them i hope to include a brief history and an explination of the culture and how the music formed within the culture. Anyone ahving questions related to this sort of topic I encourage you fully to ask, while i do not have the anwer to every question, certainly the incredible professors around me will. Agian now with more expeirnace and more knowledge I can only hope to assist anyone in need or to answer ay questions posed on music, theory, or ethnomusicology.
