Well, someone likes Majora's Mask (atta boy) but I can't help but think it might be more appropriate to post these in your other thread. I don't know.

Third and fourth are way too blurry for my tastes, and so is the Skull Kid in the sixth one. Otherwise, good job. ;)

Marlon
August 3rd, 2006, 09:52 pm
The first, the second, the third, the fourth, and the sixth were too blurry for me, and in the second, the mask looks a tad bit wide. Maybe you skewed it? The rest I like. Good job. :)

Lol, you guys have different tastes for signatures. On gaming forums people like that weird Abstract look to some of them, and I like some blurryness to them anyway.

Thanks for the comments though. Lol.

......sorry,but they look queer to me.:heh:

The second and third ones don't look to good. Even for the style you like. They look pretty amature (for lack of a better word). You just need to work on cutting out your renders.

I'm in love with the one with the poe. That's my faverite. Next is the one with Majora's Mask. I odn't know what the first one's supposed to be though... i like the 6th, and the ones bellow that one.

@septer - Ok. Ametuer ah? K. Well, only been doing it for like a week or so. >.<

@Others - Thanks for the comments.

@yoxie - @_@

EDIT - Actually, I've got better brushes and can really pull stuff off now that I want.

I know. I'm just saying they need a little bit of work. You did really well with the set in Graphics Request, though.

From what I see from your first post and your latest graphics, I can say that you're getting much better. Keep up the good work.

Great job. I just don't like the pixelyness (is that a real word) of the Naruto one.

Marlon
August 11th, 2006, 10:34 pm
What ^ said. Also, the Leon one was a bit blurry, and in the second-to-last one, you don't really notice the text. Anyways, the last two are my favorite. Good job on those!

About the wallpaper..its really cool. is it just me or is the right side of the wallpaper look empty?

It would look wicked with Icons on the right of the girl and a dock at the bottom..(IMHO)

It looks really good, in my opinion. Personally, though, always like the focus on the left, so I can just arrange my icons by default and it'll still look balanced. Yes, I'm lazy. XD Anyways, like I said, it's really good. Great job! :thumb:

Made in order with some new brushes :

1st -

http://xs106.xs.to/xs106/06373/Mazeppa_26_KillZone_1.jpg

2nd -

Revision :

3rd (latest) -

http://xs206.xs.to/xs206/06370/Mazeppa_27_KillZone_2.jpg

In the last 2 ones I started to get the flow with the technology-looking brushes, expecially in the last one.

C&C.

The orange clashes with the blues, Mr. post-impressionist. The vectors stand out more then the megaman, making it hard to see both as two different things; tone it down with a layer of white> softlight, maybe? Other then that, the vectors you used suits megaman to a t.

The ones with the hazy stuff are okay. You should try and distinguish where you should erase or tone down the flashy-ness because its over powering the render.

Eternal
November 12th, 2006, 10:46 pm
Mega man is doing the okay sign XD

I actually like that green one you did with the warrior best~
The Megaman one blends too much with the render and sticks out too much from the bg..

Orange and Purple are a good combo, blue and orange is a bad one~
7/10~

Same comments as before (one new one)

Oh yeah, WHAT DO I CHANGE THE GOLDENOROD TO!? Lol, it's been getting at me. People saying "Oh I don't like that" then they never give suggestions on it.

I think the goldenrod ties it together actually, that's why I chose it, and untill someone suggestst something better [to my liking] I doet. :heh:

April 16th, 2007, 01:21 am
the right side's nice, but it looks overly..liquified on the left.
and messy.

Eis-jisuk
April 19th, 2007, 02:55 pm
As they've said, messy.
This is due to too many random colours and effects. Should do some colour tweaking to reduce this.
The render looks colourless compared to its surroundings, thus the focal point is barely on the render.
The lighting is all over the place. Remember to make your lighting according to the highlights and shadows on the render.
Obviously, text needs improvement.

Well, you are a good GFX artist with potential. If not I wouldn't have bothered saying this much.
So keep improving.

@_@ ..Okay? I guess I still have some work to do to impress some.

(And remember, I do not have CS2--I got Elements 2.0, so I can only do so much. Damn constrictions.)

Eis-jisuk

Ah yes. That's how it is for GFX artists.
A bunch of people praise us and our heads get high and someone just has to come and burst our bubble. The first reaction would be to go on the defensive and say, "I don't see any of the problems you listed. I'm right, you're wrong." But after you get through that phase, it'll be easier to accept criticism and learn.
I think it's important to have a mixture of both praises and criticism, so I join a few GFX forums of varying standards. I still hate getting criticism though, especially on a new work. Until I create something better do I see the mistakes in the last one.
Don't join forums that class you though (beginner, novice, moderate, intermediate, semi, pro), like NSL or GSA. The judges are usually unconsciously biased, preferring real people sig (which I hate) to anime ones (which I love); preferring busy sigs based on random effects to sigs based on an idea/concept. They also prefer sigs that follow current trends.

Know where you stand, be neither proud nor give in to false humiliation (overly humble). Know how to judge, be not swayed by 'majority'. Know what you like and develop in your own direction, don't be a trend chaser. Most importantly, "Nolite te bastardes carborundorum".

Milchh

Haha. Yeah, thanks. I used to be on ChaosGFX, but that forum died. ArticticGFX seemed to be really laggish, and now I just have a small 10 post account at PlanetRenders.net. Now, I haven't posted any sigs since October there, but I have found some pretty nice tutorials.

Hahahahaha, yes. You just described the perfect artist. :3
I can't stand people who brag about their work. I also can't stand people who claim their work sucks when they know otherwise, to fish for compliments.

It's too bad I do a little bit of both. Hahaha. XD
