I don't see any Sonic the Hedgehog threads, so I'll start one.

I think that my two favorite Sonic games are Sonic Adventure 1 and 2. But after those games, what the HELL did they do with Tails' voice? Sonic heroes sucked plot wise. Shadow the Hedgehog was cool and fun to play, but I hate the new voices (just because one dies doesn't mean you have to get a new cast!), and the final story sucked!

For the older games, I like Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Sonic CD. But I don't think that Sonic's going in a good direction right now...(DIE 4KIDS! DIE DIE DIE!!!)

I have Sonic Heroes on GameCube... it's pretty difficult after a while.
Tails sounds really weird in this game too...

Ah sonic the hedgehog good, good memorys. Actually this was the first video game I actually played. I was only 3 years old and It was my sister game too. Poor old sega genisis. How we used to play with it. But yeah it was a great game series. Its up there with mario, zelda and metroid thats for sure.

I really wished that Sonic Heroes had a mode like those classic side strollers, those were more fun. But yes Sonic is good and brings back good memories.

What happened to Shadow the Hegdehog? That game was SOOOOOO fun!! I got to shoot the heck out of people and run over them in jeeps. My brother called it "The age of the violent Sonic games." :heh: And yes, Sonic Heroes was fun, but till the end there, it got monotonous and tiring, not mention difficult.

Cool until they turned Sonic into a 'young' child's icon and shifed shadow to the more 'adult' icon.

As for me? I've played all but one. Sonic 1, 2, 3, S&K, Sonic CD, Sonic R, Sonic 3D Blast, Sonic Spinball, Sonic Adventure 1, 2, Sonic Heros, Sonic Advance, Sonic Advance II.

My personal Favorate is Sonic Adventure 2 & Sonic Advance; it comes the closest to returning to the side scroller it used to be. Sonic Heros was a neat concept, but completely and utterly failed, the same for the Shadow spinoff. I can't wait to see what they're going to do next! (both out of excitement and out of the want to make fun of them)

Wow M, I didn't know you played so many sonic games. I personally like all sonic games except for Spinball its a real chore just to get through the first level. I remember back when me and my sister played Sonic 2 on our old sega genisis and we would get to like the 7th or 8th stage and then it would time for us to go bed, stupid curefue, anyways you guys remember whenever you played on the sega genisis you wouldnt be able to save your game right, except for that password code thing in some of the games, and we never did seem to get past that level, because of that curefue. Yeah I miss the old sonic games like you guys do, its just not the same. But yeah the new games are a little fun, but you just cant take away one of the early 90s favorite games and try to replace it with these new ones. The fun part was always kicking Dr. Robotnicks tail at the end of every level.

Oh yeah M, I know which game that you didnt play, it was Dr. Robotnicks Bean Machine right? Yeah I liked that game too. It was the old version of the new game Puyo-pop i think.

XD I remember those days! To play a game and finish it usually ment a half day project without breaks. It wasn't until Sonic III until saving was avalible if I remember correctly.

And I was a pretty hardcore sonic fan. I watched the English Toon, read the comics, and played the games. It faded out just like all my other video game crazes.

=0 I can't believe I left my favorate puzzle game off the list!!! But to clarify, I haven't played beyond Sonic Advance 2, and I think there up to 4 or 5 now... I got off track a while back.

And for a random rant about recent video games...

I WANT MORE SIDE SCROLLERS!!!1

Thank you.

By the way what the game that you had not played besides those that you listed?

I finally beat the whole game of "Sonic Heroes" ^.^ ... getting all 7 chaos emeralds, beating that final boss... and it wasn't worth it -_- . The controls on the final form on the final boss were messed up and it took me a long time to get all those emeralds (I've only had this game for 3 weeks now).
