Honestly, I have no clue about this one. For the longest time (ever since the previews came out) I thought this movie looked pretty lame. Even the title sounded stupid.

But lately it's been popping up everywhere. Seeing things on TV (nothing to do with the plot or the making of, just interviews talking about how amazing this movies supposed to be) and hearing radio stations giving away tickets to special screenings of the movie and whatnot. I even heard that the movie was supposed to be bigger than Star Wars. (I'm not a star wars fan, but still, that has to be pretty big)

So as of now, I have no idea what to think. I heard that the internet has apparently been going crazy over this movie, so I figured this would be a good place to talk about it. what do you guys think about it?

P.S. Apparently this movie has reached "Cult Status" before it has even been released. What's that mean?

My brother and I saw the previews of this movies and our first reaction was "wtf?"

then he tried to crack a joke about not knowing what the movie is about, and then I countered that with the "The title should've been pretty straight forward...it's freaking snakes on a plane...what's more to understand" XD

but yea, I don't really get this one.
And I don't really know what Cult Status is...

It's supposedly to be the next movie phenomenon, like forming a cult-type moving.

I heard it was at first created to be a parody of all those other "scary" movies.

it looks extremely B-movie and retro. it's easy to see why it's getting cult status. it'll be like donnie darko, people will either love it or hate it

but GOD it looks CRAP

I don't think it will be anything like Donnie Darko... it just seems Hollywood has run out of ideas.

cult status is when a small movement of people love somthing. Like those highly unkown Square games that only a few love.

I think this movie sounds really good. I can see how many will think its dead silly. Theres snakes on a plane and people are on it and theres a lot of people on it. A lot of snakes too.

Haha, speaking of cult status, I was watching something on TV and it was saying that if you you are interested in the movie, help it to keep its "cult"-ness by NOT seeing it in theaters and waiting until it's on the bargain rack in your local video store.

It seriously sounded stupid to me and not even funny stupid like Scary Movies or the Date Movie.

Especially that one scene when that dude shot the side of the plane and everything gets vaccumed out, what kind of dumb person would do that?

cult status? maybe it means taht it's reached our culture. i mean, there are songs about snakes on a plane. shirts that say snakes on a plane. its .. like everywhere now.

and i dont want to see the movie.

I think it's quite amusing to see the reaction of the passengers and how they act coz they are so stupid, like as mentioned before: shooting a massive hole in the plane when u're 35,000 ft in the air.

When i saw the snake attack that man in the toilet, i burst out laughing.....v.unsympathetic but it's hilarious, in the sense that watching ppl in films get hurt can be funny
