I have this melody stuck in my head, im sure its from some anime, but I can't seem to figure it out. This is a song, not just music. The melody is

E ^ B v E v D# ^ B v D# v C# -
C# ^ D# ^ E ^ B - B ^ C# v B v F# ^ G# v
E ^ B v E v D# ^ B v D# v C# -
C# ^ G# v F# v E ^ F#

^ = go up from the note you just played
- = same note
v = go down from the note you just played

i do this because you wont know which octave to play in.
also, i dont know how to type timing, but it should be fine without it

Just so you know (and how you don't, I don't know), you'll want to post this kind of question in Music Discussion (http://forums.ichigos.com/forumdisplay.php?f=13), for this is a question concerning Music, not Anime or Manga.

i was torn between the two, this song is from an anime.

The anime thread is specifically for the actual Anime/Manga like you post in it the acutal thing.
ex: you like Gundam
you make a new thread titled Gundam as in the whole series not just a part of it like the music. And if there's already a thread on Gundams then you go to that thread and post in it.
And to find a song from an Anime go to the Anime Sheet Music request or if it's a simple quick question you can post in Music Disscussions.

I hope that wasn't too confusing, I was a little lost at first too, but you'll get the hang of it ^^

For future reference, the anime sub-forum is designed for talking about anime plots and other related topics, while the music sub-forum is geared more towards music.

While you song does come from an anime (and I would tell you the name of the show if I could figure out how to install soundfonts on my Audigy via Linux), you are discussing strictly the song. It would be best to put it in there. By doing so, it will be answered far faster than it would here.
