I think your compositions are pretty decent (assuming they're your first) but you could use some melodic structure. Remember that ultimately it comes down to how pleasent it is for the listener to hear.

i guess i can settle with decent :) yes they are my first, falsestart being my lateest. Both of the string pieces were homework assignments for my theory class, with Serial strings being a bit of an expierment on my behalf, it was my first attempt at writing a string quartet, and writing in a serialist 12 tone style.
