Some boss battles are so friggin' Crazy Hard, arn't they?
Here, give out tips on how to beat the boss, or just post your hardest boss battle!

Hardest for me?
Sephiroth Boss Battle KH2
Reason: ZOMG, he kills me in like five hits if I'm not careful. Guide says you have to be atleast lvl 80 to beat him, and I tried at lvl 53. He has like 15 life gauges though, and he's so friggin' fast!

The most said boss of the thread: Sephiroth, from KHII.

The most mentioned videogame of the thread: KHII

Huh... Agree with you Sephiroth KH2 and KH1.
He killed me in an instant.

Star Ocean Till the End of Time, Super Blair. EXTREMELY HARD

Same with me. (Now, try the proud Lvl 50 challenge! That'll give you something to brag about! I haven't done it yet . . . He pummels me into the ground . . .)

Abbysion from Tales of Symphonia on maniac mode. Seriously, I can't beat him, even with all-divide! He still manages to kill me, every single time . . .

Gyorg from Majora's Mask. Well, unless you don't have the shielded hearts before you go to him, then he's fine.

Reason : Mainly because it takes practice usuing your Zora form to hit him, and then do that dolphin jump to get back up to the platform.

Also (depending on your hearts) his 'eating' attacks do quite some damage as well.

What about those DDR Extra Stages? x_x

Well, if you've got Feirce Deity's Mask, it's a walk in the park. :shifty: Although I don't remember him being too hard. Now, fighting Twinmold without the Giant's mask, that was hard.

Try Majora's Mask (from Majora's Mask.... 2nd and 3rd forms with no arrows).

Ozma from FFIX. Watch his doomsday say goodbye to the party in one hit.
He attacks around twice or thrice a turn.

Dark Aeon Magus Sisters from FFX. Should I say anything more?

Dark Aeon Magus Sisters from FFX. Should I say anything more?

I didn't have any problems with the Dark Aeon Magus Sisters. :mellow:

I'd have to say hardest boss battle I can remember to date would probably be the Tree in FFXI. XD

Dark Aeon Magus Sisters from FFX. Should I say anything more?

yes.....yes you should. first strike. yojimbo. zanmato. its cheap but the job gets done.

now dark yojimbo on the other hand now that was hard. defeating him 5 times in a row without dying or leaving the place was really hard. even if you saved in between fights then die and try again you go back to round 1

Lucifer from Shin Megami Tensei:Nocturne III in Hard Mode

That is just....><

It's about the same with Hitoshura in Digital Devil Saga though.
Just absolutely ridiculously hard.

Here's another:

Skieth from .hack//INFECTION
Reason: He's so friggin' fast...And that Permafrost attack is devestating. If he data drains your healer or you, it's a problem, because right after he either does Permafrost, or his explosion attack.

Yeah Xaldin was annoying.Extremely annoying . I think I got help from Mickey about 3 times in one battle . Yep , I sucked that bad . T_T I didn't need help in the standard mode .. but proud mode ? Xaldin just pummeled me .

.. I still think Sephiroth in KHII was hardest though .

I beat Xaldin, no problem, but his attack were annoying, specially when it got towards the end.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cubia (Final Form)-.hack//QUARINTINE
Reason: His attacks are so damn overdone. My god, he even kills Balmung in two attacks. The Cubia Cores have like 9999 hp each on his final form, and he's hard to hit, seeing thet switch from PHY Tol. to MAG Tol. and back. And you only hit about like 0-19 dmg per hit, depending on if you have mag up or phy up. He also heals 1000+ hp each time the Repth Gormas come out. Annoying...
Armored Core - Mission Path II - Final Mission.
MY GOD THEY KEEP ON COMMING! GAH! OUT OF AMMO! Shit. *hits reset button* One more go...
After doing the above round about 70 times (not a rough estimate, either) I finally gave up on the game.
First time,
The Boss from Star Fox 64. I forget the stage though. Mainly, it's the stage on the far right, right before the "Hard Level" .. big green planet (completely blanking out on names) where Andross is.
That disky boss was HARD when I first played it-lost like 3 times to it in a row. Though, it's one of the easiest bosses in the game now. :shifty:
DDR Max 300 (Heavy Mode)
Reason: 300bpms!!!??? Holy...that's fast. Highest i've gotten on that song is a B. That's good, but I can do better in the future I hope.
tanonev
August 25th, 2006, 09:47 pm
DDR The Legend of Max is 330 BPM...got an A...but LoM has fewer arrows than Max300 (which I never passed :(...) Then there's ITG Pandemonium, but let's not go there ><
But the Extra stage versions are evil...1.5x Reverse, AND your life bar doesn't go back up? That's just wrong...
On an entirely different note, I recall having a lot of trouble with the Verminator in Secret of Evermore...then I found out that you have to keep your dog alive, even though he can't attack, so that the Verminator doesn't cast single-target spells on you for double damage...
Mewtwo on Super Hard in Pokemon Puzzle League was pretty tough, too...after a 10-minute long match, your whole body starts twitching...
Lightningsage
August 26th, 2006, 03:31 pm
Legend of Max, i've beaten on heavy and got an A. That isn't as hard as Max 300. And Pandomonion isn't that hard either. (For me that is).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Rachet & Clank: UP YOUR ARSENAL
Dr. Nefarious
Reason: Well, his clone attack is pretty hard to block. And that missle drop attack, if you get hit once, it subtracts a seconf of your run time, and you could get hit again and again. The part where you chase him to the main battle sight is pretty hard, but you got your teammates to help you atleast.

Xaldin, definitally. And Sephiroth from KH1. He was too easy in KH2 though...

Hmm, other than that, I don't quite remember anything too challenging. Perhaps some of the final bosses in Jade Cocoon. (AWSOME ps1 game)

Expert.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
KH1 Xemnas Fight:
Reason: He was MUCH harder than KH2. KH2 just made the boss battle never end, in this fight, it's all his strengh in one fight. He's extremely fast, and has more abilities in this. He hits even harder too.
August 27th, 2006, 04:16 pm
Wait...you mean that new Max 300 Super-Max-Me, not Max 300 from DDRMax? Because the first Max300 can't be harder than Insertion or The Beginning Expert, let alone Pandy expert; but the new one seems insane with all those jumps...
the four serephins from tales of symphonia!!ack!><
I remember those...yeah, they were pretty hard...what I didn't understand, though, is why when Kratos is on your team, it takes him forever to cast Judgment, even with speed cast and over limit; but when he's fighting you, he just waves his hand and BAM!
Lightningsage
August 27th, 2006, 05:37 pm
All of those are pretty easy for me...i've competed in tournaments and have always placed in the top three: (I've won 1st place three times, 2nd place four times, and third place once). NOTE: My title, "The ULITIMATE DDRer". I'm probably one of the best DDRers around. I have every single game, and practice an hour a day. I've been doing this for two years now, and it's paid off. Ok this may be stupid to say, but my hardest boss battle was Sephroth from FFVII and KH2.(Well that one wasn't stupid to say, but the FFVII was)
I mean I was 13 and Playing FFVII and not having cloud last limit Man I was stupid :heh:
That reminds me:
Gold Hunter from KHII (Assault of the Dreadnought (sp?), mission 3)
The only reason I made it through was because I had Drain and Auto-Life...but Drain is useless for everything before the boss, so I have no idea how I'm gonna go through and get a higher percentage x_x Maybe cost converter?
The RPG part of KHII was too easy, and the minigame part of KHII was too hard x_x
Another Hard Boss Battle:
Kalphite Queen: RuneScape.
Reason: Well she uses both range and magic attacks on you, in her 2nd form, and uses range and physical in her firsty form. She also has Mag/Rng tollerance in her first form and phy tolerance in her 2nd form. She hits up to 30 dmg per hit, unless you have prayer on, and the only armor that can break through her armor plates and prayer is Verac, which costs ALOT. I've beaten her, but I'm warning you, she is tough! She has 999 hp, and her def is incredible. Like I said: ONLY ATEMPT TO KILL HER IF YOU HAVE VERAC!!!! (This means FULL Verac, Flail, Helm, brassard, and kilt).
Impressive, still DDR is a piss easy game if you ask me. Got 6 years on me here, although play is limited to 2~3hrs everytime I visit the arcade
Talking about music games..
Drummania's The least 100 secs. Challenge the physical human limit. I've seen profession drummers fail it XD
EZ2DJ's Panic Strike is another one, Try playing with 2 sets of 5 key 'keyboard' while worrying about the scratch and the pedal. The legend goes that it took 7 people working on one key each to pass it and even then they still almost failed..
If you look at it, all games are easy if you know how. The definition of 'hard' is more like time-consuming.. and annoying. From that aspect, grab any boss from Metal Slug these days and you've got my answer. Muscle pains everytime
Is there anything hard that isn't time-consuming? (sports feats, music feats, intellectual feats...)
(MMO)RPG bosses tend to be "hard" in that you need to invest time in leveling up.
Action bosses tend to be "hard" in that you need to have quick reflexes (which takes time to develop).
Puzzle bosses tend to be "hard" in that you need to think quickly and accurately (which also takes time to develop).
While I'd agree that the first is just time-consuming/annoying, I wouldn't be so sure about the second, and I'd probably disagree with the third.
Aside: If DDR/Stepmania bore you, why not click on the (second) link in my sig? neoMAX is waiting ;) (this version is a little messed up, but I haven't had the time to write down the edited version...)
Kou
Reflexes, wit, et cetra... just comes naturally to some people :shifty:
while yes, bosses of games like Tekken aren't time consuming, that's just a general trend that I've stated. I can name many, many games where the bosses require little to no effort to beat.. XD
Dhoulmagus from dragon quest VIII. He pummeled me three times and I beat him the fourth time I went after him. I learned to level up before going after bosses if at all possible.... >.>
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jal-Yet-Karr
Game: RuneScape
Reason: Well, he's the strongest monster in the game, and can kill you in one shot if you are below lvl 90. He uses all three combat styles, meaning prayer is nearly useless unless you know when he uses the exact style. Crystal bow, Guthan armor, and ice magic is needed to kill this guy. (I FINALLY KILLED HIM AND GOT THE LAVA CAPE! W00t!)

Hardest boss? Hmmm. Tie between Tyr from Breath of Fire and Gyorg from Majora's Mask. Tyr because once you nearly kill her ("Tyr is intrigued" displays) her health and def and other stats just go zoom. I had the ultimate weapons and the best dragon summon in the game and my party were all around level 70 and she was *still* kicking the crap out of me. When I beat the game I did some Macarena-esque victory dance ^^: and you want a challenge with Gyorg? Try beating up mister fishie with NO magic so when you stun him you have to sink down in front of him and kick him to death. And not doing the dolphin jump so you're forced to climb out of the water normally. I kept getting killed because stupid fishieface kept recovering and then eating me right when I was nearly out of the water >.<;;;;

Sephiroth in Kingdom Hearts was hard. He wasn't that hard in Kingdom Hearts 2. (although he was an optional boss.) Xehanort/Xemnas from KH and KH2 were easy compared to Sephiroth...

This may sound really stupid, but I had a problem with the Carry Armor in FFVII, and the Emerald Weapon (optional) was rough...

Ozma from FFIX. Watch his doomsday say goodbye to the party in one hit.

i also have to say ozma is the hardest boss i ever fought, and i never did beat him without cheating. But there is a way. your supposed to use items like Pumice Piece to absorb his doomsday attack, but even then he kicked my butt. :death: But doing that does make it possible to win, i think. I know a hard boss!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I heard on RuneScape, they're coming out with some Bad Ass monsters. Like super strong, but that's just a rumor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Choas Elemental
Location: RuneScape (Lvl 53 wilderness, near the bandit castle)
Reason: He can teleport the equipment you have on into your pack. If there's no space, it's dropped on the ground! He also breaks right through Magic Tolerance, which is bad. He can also teleport you near him if you try to run, making death of you very possible if you're a low lvl. If you atempt to kill him, do it with a group of six. (2 mages with atleast Ice Burst, 2 rangers with atleast 75 range, and 2 mellers with 75 str or more with either full Dharok or an abyssal whip. (I'm all of those, but I can't be all of them at once!)

In other news...I BEAT SEPHIROTH...on Begginer (lol)...in KH2.

It took me nine hours to beat him, (Two hours preparing and getting items and six hours trying). I finally beat him at lvl 75 with Ultima. He used that one attack at the end where is drains MP and HP to one. Then I used a MegaEther, right after he did his flash attack, and I used Trinity Limit. I got REALLY lucky.

Level 75 in beginner using Ultima? that's not hard, that's so easy!
Here's my Sephiroth records:
Beginner - Level 70 using Sleeping Lion (I thought he was hard so I bulked myself up, took me 4 hours XD)

Normal - Level 50 using Sleeping Lion (I got used to him, and he's so easy, atleast 3-4 hours)

Proud - Level 49 using Sleeping Lion (took me atleast 5 hours of hit and runs before I took him down)

I talked about him on this thread once before. Yes, he was indeed very hard. However, for me, he's like an imp. I have the lava cape now for beating him. Here's how:

He has three kinds of attack, each will give you warning before time.
Mage: Raises his front feet.
Range: Jumps.
Melle: Get too close.

There are solutions to this:
For range: Use crystal bow at full power.
Mage: Use ice magic, or fire waves and snares.
Melle: Guthan for the set effect of healing, or Dharok, maybe Verac (I used Guth)

Recomends that you be atleast lvl 100, I beat him at lvl 96 (W00ty!)

With this info, I GUARINTEE you'll be him.

Yes, but what happen when you don't have prayer, like me.

Lightningsage
October 18th, 2006, 09:16 pm
Prayer potions. At level 52, they heal 21 prayer points a dose. (I'm lvl 53 prayer, meaning the heal 21.3 points.) 3 dosers are fine, but it is recomended you have 4 dose potions. If you buy them, they are expensive: (Ingrediants to make your own: 9K, potion(3) 6k, potion(4) 8-9k.) I'd recomend getting your own rannars and snape grass to make your own at lvl 38 herblore. (Lvl 45 here.) Just have about 4-8 prayer potions, food (Kwarbian, Sharks, Sea Turtle, or Manta), and the rest of your pack filled with runes for ice spells and a bow. It's recomended that you also bring some good mage equipment and black d hide for ranging. This leaves you with very limited food sources, which means you MUST conserve your prayer and food. When you need to switch combat styles, run away, and change quickly.

One of the hardest bosses for me would be Fou-Lu from Breath of Fire 4. The first form was easy, the second was more difficult but the last form was nearly impossible to beat. That Soul Rend reduces everyones hp to the front to 1 hp and there was the chance he would attack again. It took me like 3 hours combine for all three forms but it was mostly due to me rushing to the end w/ a low level party. Rhapthorne was difficult but the Dragovian Trial was impossible for me because I ruined my chance at a Timbrel of Tension.

Oh yeah, Sephiroth in kh2 whooped me so bad that my little brother had to defeat him for me. I don't suck. I defeated him in the first one on hard but my brother had a better game file and I didn't feel like maxing out my styles like he did.

GAH! I cannot beat Assult on the Dreadnought Mission 3 in KH2!!! This is harder than Sephiroth! I got an S+3 grade right before the extremely tough boss that blocks the keyhole, and you MUST beat him in order to get to the keyhole! I'm using a Super-Upgraded Falcon Peak model with 1423 power, 634 mobility, but only 144 def! If I use a model with good def, the power is usally low, and I can't hit him good enough. Even worse, he does not give HP orbs when you hit him, instead, it makes him angry and he uses a super-attack that I always die on! I'm gonna have to raise my def in order to beat him, but make sure my power doesn;t go down. People who don't belive me how hard this mission is; DO IT, AND YOU'LL SEE HOW HARD. It is the last mission afterall before going into TWTNW. But the boss is unlike any Gummi Boss or regular boss ever! If I use Teeny Ships, then I have to give up over 200 power. So, I can't.

If you scroll back to earlier in this thread, you'll notice that I mentioned this boss (Gold Hunter) :P

I used Drain and Auto-Life on him...unfortunately, that also meant that I didn't even come close to passing the mission itself :P

I don't have KH2 with me in the dorm :( But I'd try using 2 Cost-Converters, Auto-life, and dumping the rest into Cannon Upgrade. Then put in Blizzara/Blizzaga and Firaga (Graviga if you can spare the points), as well as Drain. Put on autofire for the majority of the mission, then when you get to the boss, turn it off and abuse Drain whenever he spews those 345875338759 red things at you...If you can survive up until his x-+ attack thing, you should be good. At that point, it's ok to die, since you have auto-life to finish him off with.

When I beat Sephiroth, I thought it was worth the Fender.

Did anyone mention Gades in Lufia 2, the first time you meet him and you're supposed to lose? Took me over half an hour, constantly having my characters on less than 5% of their health after each turn. Or what about Guard Daos in Lufia 1, who has this nasty whole-party confusion spell which could just about get your party to kill itself within the first 2 turns of the battle? And he does it all the time too? (he only uses 2 spells, one confusion spell and one attack spell)

Lightningsage
December 2nd, 2006, 12:25 am
Guard Daos sounds a lot like Macha from .hack//QUARINTINE. She uses a attraction spell, that turns everyone against eachother, and then if you're the last one standing, you're still attracted, and not able to move. If BlackRose is left alive, you might as well restart, because she wants to heal herself first and not revive you. And since she has a super-weak defence, she's an easy target.

Divine Shadow
December 3rd, 2006, 12:24 pm
I still say Fou-Lu from Breath of Fire 4. His first form was easy if you defend and heal and his second one isn't too diffcult if you don't let up but his third form is by far the worst. Not only does his hits cause a lot damage but he likes to mess with you around and cause several harmful status effects on your front row. And to be the cruel bastard that he is while you're trying to heal and remove those status effects, he'll most likely use Soul Rend that reduces everyone's hp to 1 (front row) no matter what and likes to follow up w/ a stabbing blow that instantly kill one character, leaving you w/ two characters w/ 1 hp and status effects. It takes me like 3 hours on average to beat all 3 forms because of that last one. So much healing, reviving, switching, cursing and depending on those "Proper Will" Revival skills I put on everyone almost drove me crazy. I actually almost cry when I won because he was one of the hardest bosses I ever fought ever. I was like level 30-38 I think so maybe I was weak and gave myself an unexpected challenge but I still say he was very tough to beat.

Divine Shadow
December 6th, 2006, 09:32 pm
Oh yeah....I remember that fight. It was a pain trying to fight that thing because if you don't stop the clock w/ stopaga and finish it off quick enough, it'll take one of your characters' heart, removing them from the rest of the battle.

im sorry but sephiroth from kh1 and kh2 are both extremely easy all u need is to enter the battle the first time fully intending to die eventually but this way u learn how he attacks and how to block them its simple on kh2 all u need is super flight (or whatever) and double jump

Lightningsage

Divine Shadow
December 9th, 2006, 08:20 am
^^ Um, did you ever fight him? He isn't as easy as you think. Not only do he has a ton of HP and deadly attack power, but he also has a move that drains all your energy and goes all demon on you when he feels defeat is near. True, it's possible to beat him, owned him in fact, but he's one of those bosses that can have one of those comebacks and kill you in an instant from a single mistake which is one of the reasons why he's so tough.

tanonev
December 9th, 2006, 05:11 pm
KH1's Sephiroth battle was challenging for those reasons. KH2's Sephiroth battle was not because of that ridiculously overpowered attack called Trinity Limit.

Lightningsage
December 9th, 2006, 11:27 pm
Yeah, Trinity Limit had weak begginning moves, but then it had a super-powered finishing move, in fact, that was my last attack on Sephiroth before finishing him off. Not to mention Beserk Charge prevents him from retaliating quickly after the Trinity Limit is over, but it also prevents a finishing combo. Thankfully, Trinity Limit includes a Finishing Combo. I almost died, he used that Drain attack on me and I had to run away in circles because I had no Elixers left.

ChristopherArmalite

that "Drain attack" is called "Heartless Angel"
It drains Sora's HP to 1 and his MP to 0, it's often followed by an attack called "Sin Angel"

Sin Angel is the attack in which you have to press triangle to successfully block it, he uses it as his initial move when you fight him.

Let's break away from Sephiroth for awhile, that character tends to be mentioned here frequently.

One boss battle I consider hard is Nebilim of Tales of the Abyss, though not the hardest I've ever fought, she certainly gave me a tough time. Especially when fighting her during Unknown Mode.

Imagine this:
-An enemy that could kill you in one hit
-Has around 800,000 HP
-Can do devastating spells if you don't pay attention
-You only do 1 HP damage on the enemy

Basically, Nebilim can kill you even before you can revive. You only do 1 HP damage when she has over 800,000 HP so you need 800,000 hits on her.

Impossibla! A boss with 800,000 hp!? I've experienced the 1hp per hit with Cubia in .hack//QUARINTINE, but he had only 36000+ hp, but 800,000?! That's insane man!

ChristopherArmalite
December 10th, 2006, 03:41 am
I'll go look for proof on gamefaqs, though 800,000 HP is just a rough estimate

EDIT: Ok, I was wrong, but I didn't over count...I undercounted. It's actually 1,120,000 HP
isn't from gamefaqs but from the official website's forums
http://tales.namco.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=50451

EDIT2: *ahem*
If you are familiar with the Tales Series, then you should know something about "Hi-Ougi Attacks" They are what you call Special Attacks that deal massive damage. Unfortunately, to make matters worse, not only do you do 1 point of damage to her, she can deal over 120,000 damage to you. Your max HP is 9999 so you can see how much you're screwed already XD

This video contains all of her Special attacks, take note of the damages dealt in this video and FEAR IT! XD
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ixt1MKgyzxU

EDIT3: I understand the damage may be hard to see so I shall write it here, the numbers listed here are just the average and are not exact so check out the video :lol:

Big Bang: 15,000 HP
Mystic Cage: 20,000 HP
Innocent Shine: 4,200 HP (The attack missed)
Rending Saber: 28,000 HP
Fortune's Arc: 15,000 HP
Indignation: 30,000 HP
Fragmented End: 131,000 HP ( :eek: )
**Unlisted one/Not in Video**
Time Stop
Effect: Stops everything for a few seconds giving the enemy time to kick you around without any interruptions
Damage: As much as she can pull off before the effect wears off (Usually around 60,000 HP)

and there you have it XD

And if you assault her like crazy, you can interrupt most of her attacks, right?

Still looks like the kind of boss that you need to buy an extra set of controllers for x.x Does she go into over limit every 300 hits like Abyssion does?

EDIT: Never mind, I went and looked at the forum and at gamefaqs...do you still do only 1 damage per hit if you max out your attack stat with items? Because 1120000 hits at 20 hits/second (and if Tales of Symphonia is any indicator of the kinds of attacks you have at your disposal, you can't possibly average more than 20 hits/second) means the battle would last 15 hours, which is REALLY pushing it, even for an optional boss.

You can buy All-Divides and Hourglasses (used to nullify Time Stop) in this game, but you need to finish a side-quest for it.

If you max out your attack stat, you can deal more damage than 1 (I've heard that Lightning Blade deals 500).
And if you're skilled enough, you can do the "Trap-Juggling Trick" where you push her onto a corner and start juggling her with two characters using two attacks.

I'm not fairly sure when she goes in overlimits, but from the link I gave you to the forums, the special attacks in the video has a set time when she has to do it.

That's pure ownage right there, but if you have on 9999hp, and she can hit 131000 damage, wouldn't the battle just end if all of your party members got hit?
Correct, it WILL end, but thankfully the strongest attack (Fragmented End) only targets and pwns one character she chooses, in cannot be avoided even with the use of Free Run, though the other attacks might

I would have to say... Ethereal Queen in Radiata Stories... Even with Valkyrie on my side it was hard, due to the fact that, even at all level 99's, Jack could easily be killed and Valkyrie was my main attacker... I used so many healing items trying to keep my team alive... And when Celestial Star(?) activated, I had to run against the edges and hope that no one on my team was in the center... And since I'm the type that doesn't allow teammates to die, that was rather difficult... @_@

I just remembered he had like unlimited HP. Damn..

Then how do you defeat him... @_@ I mean, there has to be a way if he's the final boss... <.< I hope... >.> I mean, in some games, bosses along the way are impossible to defeat -- one case is... (And I hope I don't spoil anything) in Radiata Stories, when you fight Gawan, he finishes off with a Volty Atttack. But, you have the chance to hit him a few and deplete his HP and fight him again. Or, in the very first battle, Jack is forced to loss, no matter what happens. I finished the game once on the non-human side and tried again with some 1,00 HP (Which was more than "more than enough" to survive) along with 99 healing items that healed HP to max, but still lose to her... <.<

Which reminds me, I accidentally healed the Ethereal Queen with that, only healing 9,999 HP (Whew!!!) but, I gave up because I knew it would take FOREVER to kill her again... >.>

But Sephiroth on kingom hearts 1 was freakin hard i couldnt beat him at lvl 100 becouse of his attack that takes all but 1 hp, but he was extreamly easy to beat in kh2. also i think that the third form of seymour and yunalesca or whatever it was was hard.

In Baten Kaitos Origins, I had to face young Giacommo and two other goons in a cloud area. The terrible part of the game is that it always requires constant leveling in order to fight any boss. I was playing at 1:00am and I couldn't turn off my Wii because I didn't even save (if I turn it off, I waste 3 hours of playtime), so I was under constant pressure with my parents and siblings sleeping.

Sephy on KHII. Beat him at Level, I think, 75. He's so much easier on KHI. All you have to do is keep wearing him down and healing yourself. When he tries a Sin Harvest, just run up to him and hit him before the red halo appears. It'll stop the attack. If there isn't enough time, just go for distance and use a hi-potion. Then take a hit to get your magic back up (you need MP Rage for this).

Abyssion in Tales of Symphonia would get my vote for hardest, expecally on Maniac mode.

But having to fight Yggdrassial right after the fight with Pronyma is just down right annoying.

Another hard battle is would be the last boss in Ikuraga, Not even me and my friend in co'op mode can't beat him.

It took me longer to beat Sephiroth on KHI than on KHII. IMO, he was harder in KHI. The Growth Abilities in KHII made it way too easy. And in KHIIFM+ he was even easier because you could Limit Form him and annhilate him. I timed myself in KHIIFM+ and I had...Under two minutes. I had to level up to level 80 something in KHI to fight him. In KHII the lowest I beat him at was 54.

nahhhhh none of those bosses is still hard enough. The mysterious soldier from the end of KHII:FinalMix is really the hardest boss ever. He kicks Sephiroth ass in an instant. Im level 93, with Ultima and still cant beat him. He has like 12 health bars and kills you with 3 hits, its really annoying.

The first time I tried to beat Ganon (First form) in Zelda: Ocarina of time took me forever. I couldn't figure out how to do it. Then I figured it out, but one of his attacks kept getting me. Now; however, I can do it in no time at all.

I beat him at Critical Mode at lvl 78 with Ultima. He actually has more like seventeen health bars. He was actually easier than I expected, I OVERestimated the Engimatic Soldier. I honestly think that ChristopherArmalite listed the hardest, and that was I think Nebilim. (Or whatever that insane boss was)

The most mentioned videogame of the thread: KHII
i agree , when i first fought him or tryed to at least i got murdered. it took me awhile to see what his moves are but really all you need to do is max out your double jump ability and the glide ability and learn the berserk ability where you hit people with unlimited combos when the gauge is pink, and beating him will not be a dream anymore. of course hes still hard but hes not as hard as before.

hey i did it. with pichus jump A, he does his spin thing. now combine that with the speed dodge/jump technique and u got yourself an untouchable yellow ball attacking nonstop. giga bowser took long though, as he did not fly as far. finished it in three minutes.
a hard boss battle? try killing Fatalis in Monster Hunter with underdeveloped weapons.

From what I've played, hands down the Lingering Spirit/Enigmatic Soldier from KH2 Final Mix. I only battled him once, as I don't own FM, but he could have pwned both KH1 and KH2 Sephiroths at the same time without breaking a sweat.

I beat him on Proud Mode with Sweet Memories at lvl 54. Besides, the Engimatic Solider is way harder that Sephiroth, but he also seems a lot easier to figure out.

Corbenik from .hack//QUARINTINE.

Three forms, first is fairly easy. Second is the Ultimare Defence form. Go figure, you can barely hit it. And the third is fairly easy as long as you kill those orbs. Otherwise: Party-wipe. Meh.

lol one annoying boss battle was that lance guy from KH2...lol that battle was easy for me but because i was feeling lazy...it took me forever to beat him

i think Raven Lord, of Heavenly Sword is a pain to beat. He constantly blocks (block breakers don't work either) and the sword in power mode is a pain to carry around. there also no ways to heal which is annoying.

But I managed to beat him after like two hours of trying!!@_@

I'm pretty sure one of the Metal Gear Solid games was really weird. My cousin was talking to me about it and said the bosses were really confusing. One of the bosses was a psychic and could read your moves and stuff so you can't beat him. How you beat him is you unplug the controller from port 1 in the playstation and put it into port 2 and play the game like a normal boss because now he can't read your moves. Seriously, how is anyone supposed to know that?

My hardest had to be the two next to last bosses, the two headed dragon and the ceberus in final Fantasy 3 for the DS. the dragon was REALLY strong, and the ceberus attacked three times in a row. the last boss, the cloud of darkness, was pretty easy though. It took me FOREVER to realize u had to beat all 4 bosses before beating the cloud of darkness.

I remember the first time I was trying to beat matriarch benezia on mass effect, it took me a week to finally beat her. @_@ Her two commandos, the geth, and her mad biotic skizillz make it hard...but that wasn't even half as hard as (don't click if you haven't beat the game yet, big spoiler about saren's fate here) beating saren's synthetic form for the first time. He's fast as sonic the hedgehog, and it takes about a million clips of ammo to drain half his health!!!

One of the more difficult battles for myself was tabuu from Super Smash Bros Brawl. I completely slaughtered him without taking damage on intense mode, but when I played on easy mode, my brother decided to tag along and he wasted all of my lives
