Erm hi everyone? I'm new here. All these time, I'm into the graphic forum and now, I have the interest in composing music (had this inspiration after so long I didn't touch my piano.. Gahh... It's rusty... = / )
Oh well, I'm composing a song lately but I just can't find the right notes/chords to continue it. It seems like... It stucks at half way. I'm actually using the piano to compose and after that, I changed to noteworthy. It doesn't helps much anyway... = / Anyway, do you all have any ideas on how to solve my problem? As in... Any ideas on how I should continue it?? = /

HI Lydia,
errr.. how are we supposed to solve your problem? We don't even know your song.. there's no attachment or anything :heh:
But if it was me I'd probably try a d-minor chord XD

Yeah, you're not giving us much detail I'm afraid :/ And yes, Matt has a serious Dminor fetisch.

Erm I'm planning to compose a sad song but at the same time, I'm kinda poor in piano (eekk... Yea I know that. I'm never good in my piano). So, I'm afraid that if I compose a song by using 'too-complicated' key signatures, I might most probably give up half way/get stuck half way. = / Ahh... I don't think I have the determination.
How to produce a good music?

Well, how about starting the song in A minor? It's an easy key. From there, you can experiment a little, ya know? Maybe I can help to give you a starting pattern? A minor > C major > G major > E minor/major

Well, start with a simple melody, and develop it from that. Chord-ing a melody might seem like hard thing to do, but it actually isnt, it just takes time. Well, that's my little piece of advice. Take some time and put some effort on it, and good luck. ;)

you can do it! ^-^ I agree with nior7 here, I'd start with A minor. A simple chord structure would be good too, like Am, FM, GM, Em, OR Am,FM, GM, Am. Then find a little melody to fit in there. It'll all come together in no time at all ^-^
