Ah... this one didn't take too long. I actually came up with the idea while fiddling around with 'Ashitaka to San' on my piano...
<3 I think it's pretty good, but that's just my opinion... -Also, I know the beginning is bad, but the rest is okay-
Any comments are welcome and I hope I'm not breaking any rules and the file form is .mus for Finale

AH!!!! Randomness.... x_x Sorry, this piece is too random, but most of all you just have to torment the oboe with D flat major eh? <_< Lol, yeah, oboe does NOT like 4-5 flats key signature. Secondly, the rhythm is weird, and thirdly the chords are really random. Fourthly, you need to be honest to yourself and ask yourself "does it really sound good? Or do I like it just cos I made it?" If you can't, compare your piece to other pieces. Fifthly, the you can't expect oboe to play two notes at the same time (multiphonic is possible, but only to an extent with a lot of requirements). So if you're gonna get into composing, study harmony, melody and basic theory to start. Well, good luck. ;) *Goes back to listening to Scheherezade*

What ^ said. This is total randomness... x_x It doesn't sound good to me. I'm sorry, but if this were playing as BG Music in an RPG, I'd go nuts! It's extremely repetitive, and lacks structure and rhythm. I don't know, but this is not very pleasant to listen to. Anywho, just keep composing - you'll get better. ;)

Sound good 'cause I made it? :heh: I've never had a song that I've liked because I made it before... As for the oboe, it's not really meant for anyone to play. And if they would play it, it would be two people together. As for random... I can kinda go on that, but all I really did is copy and paste like... 10 of the measures...
*sigh* I didn't even really want the oboe in there in the first place, though... just... Finale doesn't have the instruments I REALLY want. ~<3 Anyway... I still think it sounds nice. I mean, you should hear the rest of my stuff... it's so horribly random...

Oh you have no idea how much better this is than all the others. :heh: I think the only one that comes close to this... or maybe better... is Moonlit sky... and that has 2 singing parts plus piano accompaniment :heh: Which, even though it sounds good to my teacher... I still think it's way more random then this.

If it's random, make it not random, as simple as that. ;)

It's difficult to make some not random if you can't realise what is random. =(
But this music isn't THAT random... um.. it's not baddd! I've seen worse ;)
