Allright I want some MIDIs on a CD but I cant burn them until they're converted to wav or mp3. So I racked google for a FREE midi converter that will do these things but there was only one to be found that was genuinely free (its called MIDInite Express and its a piece of junk). Can I get some help? Maybe one of you has a paid converter or a link to a free converter or maybe a way to burn MIDIs.

I appreciate your help despite te fact that none of you are helping me yet because I am still typing this post.

Oh and get a load of these kirby smileys!:kfloat: :kfloat: :kirby: :kirby: :kirby: :kirby: :kirby: :kirby: :ksleep: :ksleep: :ksleep: :ksleep:

Don't get your hopes up.

MIDIs converted to WAVs or MP3s never work for syncing, especially with Windows Media Player.

Just burn them as MIDIs. It works.

I know you can BURN MIDIs but you can't SYNC (mp3 players/iPods) MIDIs or MIDIs to WAVs or MP3s

Set your recording options to "MIDI" and run your midi file through any recorder. The easiest would be Windows' standard one, and then just save it as a wave file.

Ummm... you can give me the MIDI and I can record it as a .wav off my soundcard. I've done it countless times.

Itunes works as a conversion tool.

Hmm...the soundcards I've used don't usually have MIDI as one of the recording devices...but if your computer does have it, go for it. To choose recording "channel" to use, open Volume Control either through Control Panel or by double clicking the speaker icon in the notification area/task bar. Then go Options->Properties. Click the Recording radio button, and make sure Stereo Mix or something similar is ticked. Click OK, and instead of Volume Control, you should have Recording Control, and instead of Mute tickboxes, you have Select tickboxes. Now select Stereo Mix (or whatever one you have), set a level you want, and close. Now open any wave recording program you want to use, as well as the MIDI file. Start recording, then start playing. Stop recording when the song finnishes, and save.
