You mean thumbnails? There should be a picture code list you get right after you upload, or obtain by viewing your album.

/me no use Photobucket.

draw what you feel like drawing, when you feel like drawing, you'll get better.

IDK why but my best drawings are made when im not supposed to be drawing (like during a test) XD

You're a better drawer than me. I love the Naruto and dragon drawings.

In my art exam, my art teacher made me upset. :(

September 9th, 2006, 08:56 pm
Aww what she say to you?!
(in my art exam, she said she was shocked that i talked and laughed so much in it XD, i mean what do you expect me to do, sit on my ass for 5 hrs and not say a thing? and everyone else was making just as much if not more noise..)

They're all pretty good, you've got some talent for sure. ^_^
I like the Kakashi drawing the most, mainly because of the cool concept. (Is he animating himself? haha :3 )
Keep at it!

And art teachers? I dont' have an art teacher right now ;_; I only took art for one year in highschool (That art teacher hated me plenty though; I never did any of his assignments, kekekekeke XD )
How are art classes? Helpful? I might take some when I go to college (university X3) in January if they are...

Moonlight_stalker
September 9th, 2006, 09:15 pm
hm.. well art classes in my school are pretty much useless. i mean my teacher hasn't actually drawn anything for us to see once! once in the 1 year shes been teaching us, had never showed us a drawing she's done, and you ask her for help, and she says she'll help you but she ends up making it worse.. <_<

But i guess she must have some talent... or she wouldn't be an art teacher...

*has never had an art teacher mad at him*

@ Moon: Hahaha, that's the same way my art teacher was, which is why I quit art classes. And they don't need to be talented to be teachers; I'm better than my old art teacher is now. (As are you.) XD

I heard somewhere: You dont need to have cancer to recognise it. IDK why I just thought of that.
IMHO a good teacher simply needs to push you forward and encourage you somehow (be it directly or telling you how much you suck...just so you can prove her wrong) all in all they need no true talent (well atleast for art) they just need to nurture yours.

I see someone likes Pointillism. My favorite one of yours.

Your really good. I recomend getting an art book of Odd Nerdrum and Seurat (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Georges_Seurat) from the lybrary or somthing and start looking at how they paint because some of their styles are in yours.

EDIT - after reading some of the text on your image (http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f368/Moonlight_stalker/CIMG5553.jpg)s, I think you already know of Seurat. But somthing worries me; In one of your pictures you talk of Seurats technique, how he painted a background image then added dots of color.

I have read in many places that the way his pointillistic paintings are with pure, small dots of color [and he tried to use the three primary colors as much as possable] and without such background colors painted before hand. It may sound hard but his canvases he used were giant [feet by feet, not inch be inch] so he didnt really need to squize all these dots together to make the colors blend naturaly. Also, his color dots were a bit less random then yours and more uniform, if you didnt know..

@XetroxIV- Haha i am no where near being a pro artist, only 15 and i've still got a hell of a lot to learn!

@Radical_Dreamer- Thanks for the advice, but i know quite a bit on Seurat already, hence the reason why i chose to study his work. The background colour thing, i was actually told to write down by my teacher so, i don't know if it's true or not... =S!
Oh and the randomness of the dots was due to me not giving a feck about it anymore, it gets kinda boring doing dots for a couple of months... O_o
and i've finished that project, but thanks for the info ^_^

You should try working on an old master style [Odd Nerdum, Rembrant, Titian], I think you would be good at it.

Moonlight_stalker
September 14th, 2006, 04:21 pm
Well i'm currently focusing on Franz Marc's art, which i think is Abstract.

The old master styles, urm.. i duno i've been staying away from them cause they look so hard, and knowing me, because they are soo detailed, i'll spent too much time on them. Plus most of their work is based on bodies (right?), i really can not draw bodies...
