One 3rd place :)

Tournament Hall of Fame:

Completed Ten Qualification Tournaments!

Maybe cause it's ancient history.

pianocrazy90
September 11th, 2006, 11:01 pm
Well you should you know look through that ancient history for any remains of a thread that you want to post about otherwise your thread is going to get closed in a heartbeat without you even knowing the reason for the closing of the thread.

And one more thing old or new its still a thread of that which you should give the least amount of respect by at least looking for one. And then if you dont see then make a new type of thread.

And ofcourse I have no authourity to rambel on like this. So sorry if offended you by it. We need you Angelic, come back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's the dillemma. Either take a tackle for recreating an already made thread, or take a tackle for reviving one that's over 4 months old. Either way, who cares.

DDR we have here's um.. Dancing Stage.. I think. One of the newer (newest?) ones.

Tournaments: none held in New Zealand officially.

Personal records:

Across the Nightmare [Challenge] AA
AA [Heavy] AA (yeah.. AA at AA, haha ㄱ-)
A [Challenge] AAA
Drop Out remix [Challenge] A
Paranoia ~Respect~ [Heavy] A

Others are just plain old boring or I've ended up with a B >_>

Is that that crazy 20+Hz song? o_O

I'm...er...9.5 feet on DDR, 10 feet on ITG. I play at home mostly, on DDR Extreme and ITG 1.

Tournaments: No way.

Personal records:
Kick the Can Heavy: AA (7 greats - I have no AAAs :( this is the closest I've gotten)
Healing Vision Angelic Heavy: A
The Legend of Max Heavy: A
Oasis Expert: S-

Hardest song I've passed? Either Mythology Expert or Insertion Expert...barely passed ><

Whoa...those are some insane AAAs... :worship:

Max300 Heavy: B (finally, I pass :D I think I need to re-sync my cousin's Stepmania, though...)
Remember December Expert: S-, missed one arrow >< I'll blame it on my sister, who thought it would be funny to yell "Hit the mines!"

Working on July Expert now...I haven't built up the stamina for it yet...

Out of curiosity, do you guys use the bar? I never learned how, so I play without it, and as a result, I've...er...fallen off the pad a couple times :P

Lightningsage
September 24th, 2006, 10:34 pm
I used to use the bar in arcades, but now I don't. However, sometimes I will if I do MAX 300 on Heavy, to atempt to break my "A" record.

Othere than that...NEW RECORD!

Paranoia 290 Survivor (HEAVY): AAA

haha i play but i'm not a tech player i'm a freestyle player cuz i'm just like that...and i giev propz to you techhies that's good stuff, and i like seeing that stuff i'm just more preference to freestylers cuz 1. i'm a freestyler, 2. i just like it imo it looks cooler but still man mad propz to you all...lol i can do like AA stuff but nothing higher than A on heavy songs, and even then those are the easier heavy songs XD, sincei spend so much time on easier stuff just messing around

Lightningsage
September 25th, 2006, 08:50 pm
Well Heavy Songs are hard when you first start them. It's hard to get use to the new super-fast arrows, you know, the ones that are like 3/4 of the way to a regular arrow or 3/8.

aznanimedude
September 26th, 2006, 12:19 am
oh don't get me wrong...i can do some pretty hard stuff...i just don't make a habit of it...i usually try the hard shtuff when i'm looking for some variety outside of my usual freestyling...so yeah...if anyone remembers gedtag...yeah he's my cousin...we do some freestyling together sometimes

hm... I can do Spin the Disc on heavy (I can do that on Standard and get AA, such an easy song), Ghosts on Standard almost perfectly... Dream a Dream is probably the easiest song on ALL levels. I like Janejana, and Gamelan De Coupe (spelling?) and a bunch of others... I LOVE Afronova, but I suck at that song...
I haven't been practicing, and my skills have been deteriorating. thats the problem.. I usually just practice once a month .:shame:. I used to practice more... but I can still beat the pants off some people...

I have no idea when this will be, however, I do know that I will be entering!

BREAKING NEWS

The National Tournaments were held yesterday morning! I left sometime around 6:00pm on Friday to leave for Michigan. (That is why I wasn't on all day.) I was suprised that only 256 people were entered! Of all of the population too! Anyways, these guys were EXTREMELY tough to beat. I had lost during the Semi-Finals when I tripped over the bar during MAX 300 [HEAVY]. I had gotten 3rd place which means I can advance...to...well...THE INTERNATIONALS! My mom was extremely happy with me that I finally found what I was good at! The Internationals won't be for sometime, but they will be held in Quebec, sometime next year.

There are too many songs to count on which I did, but I will give you my Semi-Final results:

Sakura [HEAVY]-AAA
Paranoia 270 [HEAVY]-AA
MAX 300 [HEAVY]-B (I was soooo mad about this! I knew I was gonna lose as soon as my foot hit that bar...)

Here are his results:

Sakura [HEAVY]-AA
Paranoia 270 [HEAVY]-AAA

ddrmaster18
October 25th, 2006, 04:55 pm
lol i just read everything and wow must i say for a ddr player as good as you, you really lack the lingo, please dont say really super fast arrows haha, the arrows are faster there are just more and closer together, only speed modifiers can make them faster, also paranoia survivor 290 is considered harder then max 300 so actually the hardest one you played was that and itg would probably be more befitting for you and yea i hate when your foot hits the bar XD, ive done that like twice and it totally ruins everything, i only play arcade, home versions are too bleh, i prefer itg2, then itg, then ddr, supernova is pretty bad considering how off sync it is to the other versions and the songs are pretty cheesy, hardest song i ever AAAed was exotic ethnic, hardest song ive beaten on itg2 was determinator and i was like half dead afterwards, i also play stepmania, use to be rank 12 on stepmania online but i got bored of people not having the same songs and stuff, if you ever come to PA we should play :D and yea no offense or anything but im kinda skeptical as to your placing as well, can we see some proof?

Lightningsage
October 25th, 2006, 08:32 pm
can we see some proof?

Working on it. As soon as the scanner is fixed I'll have the certificate scanned in, and placed on the front page of the thread. Rank 12, eh? I haven't tried going online yet, because my Network Adapter is under maintance. I've never been to PA, but I will someday. I think MAX 300 is harder than Paranoia 290. I can get up to AAA in Paranoia 290 Survivor, and only an A in MAX 300. I would've probably gotten 2nd place in the Nationals if it weren't for the unforutante bar accident. Anyways, I look foward to facing you.

EDIT: Exoctic Ethnic was pretty easy. The 190 BPM's weren't anything hard for me, it was just the confundling steps that kept me from acheiving AAA for a long time. Finally, I got a AAA after toiling with it.

Meer
October 25th, 2006, 09:39 pm
You must break lots of things. Adapter under maintenance, scanner being repaired. I also remember your camera being fixed in the KH2 thread. :mellow:;

Lightningsage
October 25th, 2006, 09:46 pm
Yeah, the camera is completely fried. The scanner just needs some cleaning on the lense, and my Network Adapter was broken by my little newphew. He got mad and threw my PS2 at me...eventhough my sister/his mom is the one that made him mad...Thankfully, the PS2 was not broken, but for some weird reason; the network adapter was.

ddrmaster18
October 25th, 2006, 09:52 pm
lol yea exotic ethnic has lots of cross overs but itg songs can have a massive ammount of double crossovers, basically with your right foot on the left arrow and your left foot on the right arrow, a good example would be bloodrush, but yea smo is all that great, i dont really play online much of anymore unless someone begs me lol

ddrmaster18
October 25th, 2006, 09:53 pm
when i said online i meant stepmania, ddr for the computer, i dont play any of the console versions as their timing windows for scoring are far too easy

edit:oops sorry for the double post

Lightningsage
October 25th, 2006, 09:55 pm
I agree. Scoring is easy on the console versions, but in the Arcade...it's tough getting even a B lol. Somehow, people manage.

ddrmaster18
October 25th, 2006, 10:00 pm
yea but you also cant forget that people who have a hard time beating a song, lets say max 300, do really badly and fail but on their first time beating it they get a B cause the grading is too easy while the effect is has on your life when you miss an arrow is too strong, so its kinda hard for lots of people to get worse then a B unless they go almost the whole song with barely any life or if they are playing supernova which has a more efficient scoring system, but im still more true to extreme then supernova, i just dont really like it for some reason, but itg2 goes above that in my head, its so much more fun to me

Lightningsage
October 25th, 2006, 10:07 pm
ITG2 is the Ghetto version of DDR. That's what my friend calls it. ITG has some good stuff like: Triple or Quad steps. However, what keeps me from playing it is the lack of good songs and the weird stuff that happens when you're getting a good score. It gets annoying after awhile. They should have triple or quad steps on DDR, and also some harder songs, like 20 footers . It probably will never happen, seeing that 10-foot songs are hard enough, and experienced DDRers such as You and I will probabky have a hard time adjusting to 20-foot songs.

ddrmaster18
October 25th, 2006, 10:09 pm
lol well i can do a few 12 and 20 is impossible, there are only a few 20 footers for stepmania that actually are 20 footers according to leveling standards that can be passed, one is expert for identity part 2 and only like 5 people have passed it, thats for keyboard, i figure the hardest would ever be a 15, i know there are a few 14 footers passed before on pad, my highest is a 12 but that was pretty killer

Lightningsage
October 26th, 2006, 12:19 am
The thing with DDR is good eyesight and fast legs. If you have those, you could probably do a 12 foot or higher song. I should try Stepmania, I've never attempted to try it.

ddrmaster18
October 26th, 2006, 12:35 am
well the only reason im good at ddr is cause of stepmania, at first i was really bad at ddr so i stopped and played stepmania for a week or two and got good at then and when i tried ddr again i went straight from 2 footers like 6 and 7, the hardest part is basically wether you like it or not, some people just dont find it fun and give up while learning cause its too hard, i beat psmo (hardest song before supernova came out) and i was happy cause i thought i was near as good as you can get but then i saw itg and i was like aww phooey, but now im getting closer, i can beat a 12 on pad and itg only goes as high as 13 footers but now people are hacking machiens and playing 14 and 15 on pad so now it gets even harder for me to be near the best you can get, and on keyboard i can only beat a handful of 16 and 17 footers while there are a few who can play 20 so even in that i got a ways to go, but i do consider myself a genius as i did play killer queen on expert as my first song on guitar hero and i passed it, i only watched someone play two songs before that, i also beat bark at the moon (hardest one before guitar hero 2 comes out) and that was just hell lol

Lightningsage
October 26th, 2006, 12:52 am
Here's how I got where I am:
I've been playing for...3 years this day (Seriously, this day is where it all began, I've marked it on my calender.) That's...1096 days...I do it an hour everday and 2 hours every other day...so...1644 hours of playing so far...coutn tournaments which are about 45min-3hours each...and you get a lot of DDRing.

ummmm yeah...why would there be any type of "Academic Technology somthing" on a dance dance revolution certificate. Also, the area around some of the words look like they have had some white-out work done to them. And finally its said "NATIONAL" so somewhere on this vast thing called the internet, there has to be more proof than some blurry piece of paper that i think looks like some school reward. I guess you have no idea what to tell me because i dont belive you.

I was confunsed about the "Academic Thing" when I got the certificate. I think it means like "Athletic" or something along the lines of that. And of course there was technology involved! And the last word was "Officer". Look, if you don't believe me, that's fine. I wouldn't White-Out a school certificate either. It'd be ruining a good award! I don't have any awards from school anyway. Only rewards I have are for my blackbelt and other stuff. Nothing school related. It's alright if you don't belive me. I honestly don't care, because I know that I have a real certificate. What? You got hidden cameras in my house? You know what i'm doing? You don't and I hate the idea of being framed.

Look, I'll admit that I lied on the Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix thread, but I'm not lying now. I gave you proof and you spat in my face. (Was that too dramatic?) I really don't want to get into an argument. My B-Day is tommorow and I already feel like crap. I don't need other people ruining my self-esteem before tommorow. Could I request it in color? I, too, see some lines there that shouldn't be there, and it IS possible that the scanner blotted it out due to Black & White mode.

And I present to you the reason why people doubt you Lighteningsage. Unlike most people on forums, I do research to verify what people say and make certain they are trustworthy of those claims.

The Personal Opinion to Your Certificate

http://img214.imageshack.us/img214/372/certificate1qa8.jpg
note: this image has been uploaded to a different host to preserve its original look,
therefore it may not match up with the image found at the front. The original link can be found here (http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m185/Lightningsage/Certificate-1.jpg)

I would accept it, if the text "Certificate of Placement", "awarded to", "For placing 3rd in the", and "National Dance Dance Revolution Tournament" all lined up with the signature lines, and the English/French Boarder on the outside. To illustrate this point, I placed a grid layer atop of the certificate where the grid lines are parallel to the signature lines. It can be found in the spoiler below.

http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/3859/certificate1qa8oc9.jpg

I understand both traditional and modern styling of award sheets, but Awards presented with a seal (that star-like thing at the top-left) are typically set in traditional format. Meaning everything is lined by ruler. If you look closely, they are not. The seal on the award may be real, but I have to doubt the organization's authority on this one.

The Logical Analysis

The first exhibit I present to this table that isn't personal interpretation, is www.ddrfreak.com website. Surely if a national tourney that counts towards an international/world tourney should be mentioned on the primary source of DDR information on the west side of the globe, right?

Much to my surprise, I did not see Michigan listed (http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&oe=ISO-8859-1&client=pub-1146568829249277&cof=FORID%3A1%3BLBGC%3A336699%3BGL%3A1%3BLC%3A%230 00000%3BVLC%3A%23663399%3BGFNT%3A%230000ff%3BGIMP% 3A%230000ff%3BDIV%3A%23336699%3B&domains=www.ddrfreak.com&q=Michigan&btnG=Search&sitesearch=www.ddrfreak.com). Not once. There was a little blurb on CraigsCruisers Supernova Tournament that takes place in about ten days from today, but it has yet to occur. Not a one made notion of being nationally recognized. But that's besides the fact. You already have you're certificate, so that cannot possibly be an option.

Thus I turned to google (http://www.google.com/search?q=Michigan+DDR+Nationals&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a), because there's always the freak chance that DDR Freak missed the "nationally recognized tourney". Again, nothing in regards to Michigan (there was a hit in New York). I took the benefit of the doubt and even searched for an international tourney in Quebec (http://www.google.com/search?hs=e1t&hl=en&lr=&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&q=Quebec+International+DDR+Competition&btnG=Search). Again, nothing (I think there was a hit in London for something //similar// to an international competition, but that remains unverified).

I'm not quite certain what you are trying to do, but could you please shed some light on these issues. Preferably, hard evidence as I have presented to you. Until you do, my opinion stands that you are lying.

On a readers note, I like how you used a logical fallacy in that last post. Actually--allow me correct that--you used several logical fallacies. Which includes, but is not limited to: A Red Herring, Non-supportive, Appeal to Emotion (pity), Anonymous Authority, and onsets of a Straw Man. They work quite well, too. That is, if your reader doesn't know about them. If they do, then they instantly question your data and amount the Authority to moot.

Bravo M! Your information astounds me :worship:
I've noticed some things as well which led me to believe that the certificate in question is a fraud.

I have researched everything about this so-called "National Tourney" with the website that M said before "www.ddrfreak.com" and just like M, I did not find even one shred of detail about this National Tourney in Michigan (except for the one 10 (maybe 9 now?) days from now.

It's just a shame that M beat me to the post...
My opinion still stands, this is a fake. That is, of course that you prove us wrong with hard, concrete evidence

http://www.stanford.edu/~tanonev/cert.png
That's what the picture looks like if you replace all pure white with pure blue. Around virtually all of the text in bizarre blocky patches is this off-white, which didn't get replaced.
Even stranger is the fact that this off-white is what covers your "digitly" removed name, which MS Paint does not do. Not to mention the fact that I'm having a hard time getting your first name, Chris, to line up with the black parts that weren't covered. (Then again, there's hardly enough black to make any definitive statement about this, but the rest of the picture is very incriminating as it is.)

I have it for my PS2. It's fun to play but a bitch to unlock everything. Some of them require ddr professional scores on extreme and such (like an AA for a grade) and others are based on luck. I wish there was a character selection here but it's still a fun game.

Well, if you're hoping for a match then I'm sorry to disappoint you but most likely I won't be able to play against you. Why? theres another game called super dancer and its simler to DDR... its basically lik all the popular musics and its a online game so u can take ur mat or keyboard to the internet to lvl and verses other ppl... (the hard songs on there is lik impossible to play with a mat... its lik insane... lik a whole mug of arrow going up lik the speed of light... u cant even see them) there r also different modes lik lover mode, boy and girl pk mode, free style, opposite style(the hardest is this one because every once in a while lik 2 secs theres a arrow with a circle so u hav to press/step on the opposite of that arrow for ex. up=down down=up left=right right=left)^^

Hehe, that kind of like ITG, a cheap knock-off. I can understand why other companies want to create new styles of DDR, but some of them suck (song wise). Super Dancer, isn't that bad though. The songs aren't immposible, it just takes practice. I'm glad they have songs I know...but then again, StepMania is made by the same company, Konami, and it's exactly like that. I kinda like Super Dancer though.

tanonev
December 6th, 2006, 07:12 am
StepMania is NOT made by Konami. StepMania is an open-source project designed to emulate Konami's closed-source game. There are lots of legal issues surrounding Konami songs and stepfiles made available for Stepmania. And for that matter, ITG's engine IS StepMania.

And I like the analogy that someone on the ITG forums once made: ITG is a cheap knock-off of DDR the way Soul Calibur is a cheap knock-off of Street Fighter ;)

haha you people are funny, if any of you really get into the "undergroud" (for lack of a better word) of dance games you will find half your posts really funny, first of all its called super dance online not super dancer, its really bad and almost always off beat, the freezes arrows have to be let go one beat early to get them, the only two good dance pads are a red octane afterburner and a cobalt flux, tanonev seemed to know more than most of you except that i think itg is better, harder songs, better stepfiles, able to put your own songs in it and such, plus dedicabs have super amazing sensors, theres more stuff but i dont want to sound too mean : /

how disappointing ㄱ-

DDR with keyboards? what has gotten into you people?

The least you could do is stick with Mixwaver and 5 keys...

Seriously, there's a whole new world out there that you haven't seen if you're talking keyboard bashing.

(Mies had a screenshot of 5300 keystroke song that lasted 13 mins. Lessee.. Try looking up DJMAX, and Astro Fight SC. in less than two minutes you got some 2000 or so keystrokes. Your keyboard breaks regardless of your knowledge on "how to hit keys without breaking them")

Stepmania is already easy enough, as the patterns are designed for you to do them with your legs. To play them on a keyboard with your fingers... One hand is waaay more than enough.

Sorry to disappoint you with our casual gaming. You see, we tend not to see gaming as an occupation, unlike some other cultures *cough cough* Starcraft channel *cough cough* Sarcasm aside, I was under the impression that the point of this thread was to share personal experiences/achievements and treat this game as just that--a game, not cutthroat competition.

However, if DDR with keyboards disappoints you so, I trust you will have no problem with this (http://forums.ichigos.com/showthread.php?p=321891#post321891)...

Easy if your playing on controller/keyboard. Hard on dance pad. Especially on my cheap $20.00 GameStop pad.

Anyway, I've been trying to pass Tsugaru on Heavy all day. I can do the first half, but then I get tired. XD

I DIDN'T DO IT ON THE KEYBOARD, HOW MANY TIMES MUST I SAY IT. I bought an Ignition 3.0 Red Octane pad for $70 that came with USB and the first thing I did with it was hook it up to the computer. If my mum and I had a video camera that wasn't from 1993, and could hook up to the computer, i'd make videos, BUT I DON'T.

LMAO. sharp pointy point. Ouch. Starcraft yes.. well I don't live in Korea and technically I'm no longer a Korean so well.. there's my safety wall against that argument

Yes you're right. point of this thread is to share our personal achievements etc.

B~u~t. I just hate those without skill pretending to be awesome (like go to youtube and search under DDR or something. not even full combo and they're like OMFG I SO PWN AT THIS) as much as Angelic hates fanboys and fangirls (just a comparison, calm down..)

And then I personally hate DDR emul for computer (thanks to the above para - the emul is the fricken' reason these so called 'legends' came into my flame-o-scope)
-And this would be why I'm booing at Lightning for playing DDR emuls

And then there is another, rather complex reason that my skill level (which is apparently really really really, godlike, and I'm just surrounded by monsters better than me because I'm around in the Mt.Olympus of Rhythm Simulation Games) is at a point where I wouldn't consider myself that great(because as I've said before, I've seen so many far greater than I), but there are even more out there who're so full of themselves who don't even deserve a match against like.. my younger brother's padawon's 400th disciple.

So yeah... just a personal thing. Btw, I only spend around 2 hours a week on average on rhythm sims. If I thought of this as a job and tried hard, I would be a professional DJ,B-boy,Drummer AND a Guitarist hm? (One man band! That'd make me famous lmao)

Really, its not hard to get Perfect combos on the keyboard. Its a 5 key piano!! I mean, Even I still can't play piano well regardless of how good I may be at this game

All it takes is a sense of timing and enough dexterity to deal out a deck of cards without dropping all of it. As a composer you would have the former, the latter works out on maybe an hour's practice lol.

Lightningsage
January 4th, 2007, 02:28 pm
Well, it's easy to play on the keyboard because you have ten fingers, but you can only use up to four. Playing on foot is harder because you only have two feet (Not to mention the pad moving around while you play <_< ).

I don't have to prove anything, you've been caught lying to boost your reputation on more than one occasion, basically you're just a really sad kid who tries to be cool by making up shit about himself, which is what pisses me off about you.

Your signature used to say "supreme god of DDR". That's just fucking sad, and more proof of the cunt that you actually are. You really think you're great, you make up that you have a band (seriously, Red Octane? That's the name of your own friggin' pad!) and you forge certificates. What reason do we have to believe you? I can't. *chuckles* I really don't want to make my situation any worse. I would if I could take back everything I did, but I can't. Alright, I guess I'll make this plain and simple:

Look Angelic, I'm not trying to fit in with anyone cool, because usally, the cool kids are greedy, rebellious, and selfish. I took out that excerpt from my sig because I know i'm bragging a little too much, and I know that there are a lot of people better than me. I would also like you to stop calling me a cunt, cause that's really the only thing that gets to me most, other than that, curse my name as much as you want. I don't care anymore, all I want to do is live my life the way I choose, and I don't want it any worse than it already is. My band is real, but again, I have no way to prove that. My level of trust is hanging by a thread here, and I plan to pull my self up with that thread. I don't want to be cool, I don't care if I am, as long as i'm happy, then i'm ok. I promised to myself that I would never make my situtation any worse, and now, i'm posting the truth about my DDR skills. If I really wanted to "photoshop" my grades, wouldn't you think I would put AAA or AAAA? You're right, there's absolutely no readon to belive me, and I can't prove my truthfulness, which makes it even more reason not belive me. I can't prove you wrong, because I know that what you said is the truth (Except for me being a cunt, and the fact that my band is real, AND the fact that those grades were not photoshoped).

Listen, Lightningsage. If people think that you have edited your score then perhaps that isn't such a bad thing! Even if they don't believe you I think this is a confidence builder. If your score is so high then maybe people won't believe you. But, if you know you did it you won't have to prove it. Because you will get self-satisfaction, and I know that ou would lways tell the truth if you were lieing, right?

(Why don't you try a video clip? I LOVE videos of DDR, because people usually mess up at the parts I can't do too!)

I don't need to play it to tell you its easy

Disclaimer:I'm not trying to say I'm awesome and you suck. Myself is like only an average player down the street. I'm trying to say get out of that tiny well, see the big world. You don't have to play 5000 hours to get better.

Just quickly putting Glass prison for example, 5000 or so notes in roughly 13 minutes 22 something secs. So roughly about 700 secs. On average there is a littl' more than 7 notes to hit per second. Now I can't remember its BPM, but an average 120 song means there's 2 notes per sec just keeping the beat and so.. on a 120 song, these are easier than 16th, on bpm 180, it's barely harder than 8th. (constantly playing at that gap)

And anything slower than that makes it even easier.

Those I play comfortably onehanded aiming for high score/all "max judgement" would have around 800 notes playing for 90 secs. (note density doesn't mean everything, but its the first indicator of difficulty, after all. besides, its got 5keys  )

You like where you are? sure, knock yourself out. I just want to 'expand' your horizons :shifty:

(with some emo because well, I've said before, I hate DDR emul)

The "guys with no life" difficulty isn't really up there with the yingyang, its only like 1~2 hrs of practice/play/have fun for 2~4 weeks away.. and such guys themselves definitely don't play 24/7

I think this is what they call "lying with statistics". Unfortunately, I couldn't find Glass Prison, so I'll use My Spirit will Go On.
Just skimming the DWI file, I see:
7 minutes 58 seconds
200 BPM
608-step-long stream of 16ths with jumps interspersed (for reference, that's 13.3 Hz, nearly twice your estimate for the other song)
Reading further, I see that these streams are interspersed with sections of 8ths with lots of jumps, which would drive down the overall Hz.
Oh look, 100-long streams of 32nds (26.6 Hz, or almost four times your estimate).

You really like to bring complex measures and be accurate down to 0.01 in such light chat don't you? How about just quiet down and go look up crap on youtube. You can "ahhh" and "ohhh" at their shitty performance. You try to prove something and make an absolute gimp out of yourself. That's real smart.

Maybe it took me this long to figure out that if you've got the pass to enter Mt.Olympus, you're already legendary enough and don't need me to tell you how to get there. If you don't got what it takes, you were just never interested. My bad for trying to drag you up to my level.

If you don't know what you're talking about, don't talk about it.

Exactly, the screenshots I took had nothing to do with the fake National Certificate. Let's just let this all go though.

nah I was referring to these posts~
The guy sounds like he's gonna cry from all that accusation.

Question: Isn't Stepmania DDR without the actual dance pad? My first question was referring to the Stepmania screenshots that I thought you guys said he "forged" meaning docing up in photoshop~ Nyaa, sorry for the confusion :P

I didn't use photoshop to forge the certificate, it was tape, and Microsoft Word. I usally never cry, even if I am telling the truth and no one will belive me. You can use both the keyboard and a USB pad, like my new pad.

Stepmania in short was a shot at making DDR open source and expandable. A dance pad can still be used, so long as you buy a pad -> usb converter.

Yep.

Overall, I did a stupid thing, and I started this arguement. If we can stop this, that'd be great, and I'll try and not annoy or lie to anyone again.

Anyways, I finally passed Rewrite (Long Version), but the highest i've ever gotten is a C sadly. I failed Frozen Ray (Crystal Mix), and I finally passed Sakura UNLIMITED.

These are all done with pad, yes pad, which means I still got a lot to learn. These are some of the hardest songs I've ever encoutered.

Haven't played Glass Prison...

BURNING HEAT IS HELL! Who else agrees? It's really hard to get all the 64th notes and the weird rythem...makes So Deep and Xenon seem easy...

Actually it was that song (Burning Heat) that got me into DDR, then to Stepmania. I loved how the notes followed the melody perfectly, and you feel good while playing it.

*will not share screenshot with grade; for it will anger people*

I thought it was a vision of the future, but when I played, I didn't pass...

Has anyone ever beat any of the MaxX songs on heavy/expert?

I've beaten Max300 (B, I think), Legend of Max (A), and MaxX Unlimited (C xD). All of them were on foam pads, though, so I had the added help of being able to fudge a few arrows...

Max. and Paranoia Survivor Max still are beyond me. I haven't tried Fascination Max or Max300 Super Max Me, but I doubt I could pass either :(

Yeah my new hobby is DDR. I got a Non-Slip pad and DDRMAX2.

Got hooked on it at a party on Friday night. Bought it on Saturday.

I love it, great workout! I'm already a fluent Light, and a border line Standard--but still, Standard is really hard, so I'm doing some challenge levels beforehand. :heh:

:-( I haven't lost any weight playing DDR...and I'm a heavy player...

...or maybe I just gain the weight right back after playing...

(maybe I should get a Red Octane Ignition 3.0...but I hear that they can break down like regular foam pads...)

Me too. I find it funny that it's harder on heavy than it is on challenge...

I like it because it's a good song...

Right now, I'm trying to build up my stamina for the Max songs...nonstop mode's a great way to do it...I just did one course called best 12 or something like that on Max2, and it's a workout...but I lost on the 5th song (Afronova, a 9 footer at 200bpm)...

Right now, these are the only songs I need to beat on Max2:

So Deep
Afronova
Xenon(I may have done it before, I can't remember)
MaxX Unlimited

It's my birthday in 10 days, and I wan't more DDR games! I really want Max (first one), because I used to play it ALL THE TIME at my friend's house (before I got my PS2), but I moved and haven't played it forever (except some of the songs at the arcades)...it has my favorite song, Healing Vision (original and Angelic Mix)...

Lightningsage

Afronova...POO.

Milchh
March 10th, 2007, 02:57 pm
Afronova is awesome, but for some reason I can't get above a C on it. Phlem.

Yeah I somehow beat MAX X on DDRMAX2 (Standard) with a B, almost A. I was like, "Holy shit! How'd I do that!?"

Lol, anyway I've been progressing a lot more lately.

March 13, 2007: Jordan finally beat So Deep (Perfect Sphere Mix) on Heavy.

EDIT: Guess who just beat Afronova on Heavy?

Yes, Dick Clark just did.

Just kidding, it was me for all you dumbasses out there...

I got a D, though...

There's a video on youtube: someone did Afronova on Heavy with a score of AAA, when I find it, I'll post it.

SBmocyarpir

My new pad works so much better...it keeps track of all my steps. Before, I could never get higher than an A, and A's were rare. I get more Perfects now...

Currently working on Maxx Unlimited...I can do the first 41 bars! It has a lot of weird rythyms that don't seem to go with the song, but just practice them and they can get in your head. Plus, I find it easier than Max 300, which is REALLY stamina draining, more tham Unlimited. I have low stamina...I can't even run 1/4 of a mile...

EDIT: AAGH! This thread died AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!

I got a B on Drop Out (Heavy) !!!!!!!!!!!

The last part reminds me of one of the Max songs... X_X

EDIT: COULD SOMEONE JUST FUCKING POST ANY FUCKING SHIT IN THIS GOD DAMN FUCKING THREAD!?!?!?!?! Geez, why the fuck haven't we had any fucking posts for almost a whole fucking month? Have we all lost fucking interest in fucking DDR? Do I have to fucking talk to myself now? Just fucking get your god damn fucking fat asses over to this fucking thread and post any random fucking shit about fucking DDR!!!!!

I'm not normally such a potty mouth.........XD I'm just really pissed at the lack of posts...

I counted 13 F-bombs...
