Don't be too harsh please. I was bored last night and wrote this short piece.
Second song is Yellowmonkey's, and mine that we also decided to work on a little out of boredom ;D
All done in finale 2005

What do you mean not be harsh? ;) You must accept every single criticism on this planet to grow as a composer, even if they are your enemy's opinion, not taking criticism is not a good thing.
Ugh... What soundfont did you use? Midi? The soundfont for the strings in songs4 was... Not nice... x_x Even if you did follow your chords, it still sounded awkward throughout, and the repeating chord progression was quite bland, and the melody did not follow or flow well. The accompaniment, was again, bland and 'direction-less' and finally, the ending was too abrupt, but I think you're not done... Right? Well, work on making a clear and simple melody... Good luck. ;)

Because you said it was Yellomonkey's song? (Well, it could be just about anyone's in his case, depending on who Yellow ripped off)

I'm not being negative unless I've been given a reason.

I don't think Noir7 was being negative, just honest.

Ditto, and that's the reason why I didn't check out the 3.mp3. :\

Erm, by assuming it sucks you're not very intelligent. All composers have bad songs as well as some better ones. Sirdotdotdot, check all of the material before judging. You must be pretty young ;]

Nonono, I think you've mistaken all of us, it's cos that Yellowmonkey had been accused of plagiarism lately so we are quite conscious about this matter.
Edit: If you're still unconcious about the matter, here's a link:

If you can prove that your co-composing partner did not rip off any music from any other people, I'll gladly comment, if not, sorry to say, I won't bother to listen to it. ;)
PS: Yes I'm young, I'll take it as a compliment! :P

Daniel, could I ask if you live in Wisconsin? Your name is the same as somebody I know.

The piano in the first one sounds really random, and the chord progression is uninteresting and repeats itself way too much, IMO. ;) As for the second one, I think the xylophone-sounding thing is way too loud, and sometimes a bit out of place. Other than that, the second was rather good.
Like the others, though, I now am rather paranoid of Yellowmonkey ripping off of others' music. :\
