First of all, I just got a new Vanboren B85 Mouthpiece.... what do new mouthpieces do to the clarinet?... I didn't notice much difference, other than the volume.

I know what you're talking about, but when I get my clarinet back from the Music Store I'll play it and then explain to you what it is.
(I know this, but haven't played in about 1-2 months can't remember how to explain it to you. :heh: )

Mouthpieces varies, even though you might realize. Some mouthpieces allow you to do more special effects and etc... While some are designed in slight changes in sizes for other purposes... But yeah, they have a purpose.
For fast notes, if you really have to, cheat by slurring...
The t k t k thing is probably teh-keh-teh-keh. So to double tongue, say those syllables.
I hope that helped~ ;)

Wish I could :( ... but I've been slurring too much, so I have to start tonguing. At least my teacher finally taught me to tongue at the tip of my tongue :) . (*edits tonguing part out*)
About the mouthpiece, it said on the Comments part of it that it is "designed for symphonic orchestra playing".... really, is there any difference?.... Not as if the sound is different from my regular mouthpiece...

vanboren? isn't it supposed to be vandoren? maybe it's something else...
The difference usually involves the tone and how the note comes out...
