For critisizms (contrsuctive and opinionated) your stuff looks really good, but with that anime style, much like a lot of people have here, it looks so "5 Seconds" to make them Lol. Not saying it's bad or no effort, just it's very different from the styles I do.

I'm pretty sure it takes more than five seconds to cut our the character and make a background for it, border and text~^^

I guess it's because Spoony's style is super clean so it looks like a wuick job to you~

Or, she coud have just went to like Anime Render or Planet Render and get pre-cut out ones too. ;)

But she doesn't. Spoony always takes the time for signatures and avatars, she thinks them over carefully and is quite picky on them, lol. She's often not happy when I already think she's done a great job, but then she still thinks it needs tweaking.

On another note: If I made a thread for all the stuff I made in the past it wouldn't even fit in 5 posts XD

Lol, that's nice that you know some professional artists. ^^ But I'm not a professional and do not plan to be one ~ I just make signature/avatar sets because I enjoy it, and Angelic and I alternate making them ~ We just like to make sets with images or series that we like at the time. ^^ I make my sets to look "nice", not to look "good".

Lol? Lazy bum. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no! (Copy's Spoony) I do take my time and effort into making my stuff. I used to be a pretty good sketcher of drawings, and now I'm on a (sadly) sort of dead GFX team right now. I've ben doing it for a short time, but I am still progressing pretty well--cutting out renders seems like a waste of time for me, unless you the one taking your bored time and making renders. :heh:

Anyway, just don't get people like me wrong and call me lazy and unprofessional--it saves so much time just searching around for a good render, or an easy stock you can make yourself. :heh:

This little baby took me abour 40 mins. I had to invision, by experimenting, for like 15 mins, and I finally got the right C4D and effects I wanted to make with Ma Chao. He looked like he was moving, in which is made a lot of blending with that "wind" sort of effect. Edited the render, bg, EVERYTHING and yea, took 40mins in total.

Regardless of that fact, I quite like your chobits set of Minoru, your Excel Saga sets, and the charcoal angels sig. The colors used have great depth, the renders are clear. Those sigs stand out, yet are laid back; as a signature should be.

And relaaaax people, I didn't take it as an attack. I'm pretty oblivious to things like that. The blending/rendering/zomg-super-cool-flashy-background stuff I'm not a fan of, because it doesn't suit me. I like simple stuff. I don't think something like what Mazeppa makes suits my personality. ^^ And that's why my sigs aren't flashy ~

Actually, I quite enjoy Spoon's sigs and avatars, because they *aren't* flashy. Anyone can go into photoshop and go "zomfg crazy colors and filters!!!" I'm more impressed with an artist who can do a clean, pleasant job, like Spoon does. I think most people with any design sense would agree with me. Look at the Ipod, the DS lite, or the Wii - no frills on those - just sleek, simple, and clever design choices. And they're all sexy as hell. ;)
