Well...I was chosen to draw the ONE comic for the school magazine...and I need some of your suggestion and ratings...(My freind rate me by about 40%) :heh:

The anime people look ok but it is way too messy, you'd need a much cleaner copy to go into a newspaper or magazine

No, JPG is fine. Your draw too messy. Your lines are too thick and you draw things too small. Try using a fine liner or something.

yup, lines are too thick and it makes the whole comic look very messy.
finer lines or enlarge the comic.. apart from that, its better than the comic in my college newspaper XD

humour: 3/10 ( i don't get what its about =_=)
artistic merit: 6/10

I didn't find it funny at all. Cheesy in fact and rather silly.

It's also very messy and hard to read. If the image was bigger it might be a bit better to see, or if you edited in the text on Photoshop afterwards.

Think a 'try again' is in order. 1/5

Sure the drawings are scribbly and writing is difficult to read in places, but I generally thought that was pretty good. I'd give that a good 7-8/10 because it actually made me laugh. :lol: Sure it's not professional quality, but unless you are willing to spend a fortune on supplies and days on designs, then nobody can expect anything more.

Hmm...I think you need to use a harder pencil. What are you using now, a HB or 2B? To draw really small stuff clearly, you need to use a harder, more grapic pencil, like a 4H or something. That way, you can define the lines better...though it does require better hand control because mistakes will be easier to see, and proportions will be more obvious.

But to be honest, the 'rough look' goes well with the story for that. ^_^ It looks more 'playful', which I think it should be. So yeah, good work. Do you have any others you would like to share with us?

I know it's a bad score, but I didn't understand it, it wasn't funny, and was not a clean drawing.

I wouldn't say it is rated badly. Just there is alot of room for improvement. You definetly can draw, just yeah, listen to some of the suggestions. You asked to be rated fairly so I know I did, but think of it as constructive criticism.

I'd be more then happy to see some more stuff.

Keep it up though.
