Random.

~~~
Dot's 5 Marvellous Rules and 1 Very Important Law For Newbie Composers
1.) Create a melody; not sticking in random notes in Notepad (a BIG nono).
2.) Harmonize accordingly; not sticking random notes under the melody in note pad (another BIG nono) .
3.) Variety; not repeating the same thing over and over and over and over again and stick in random notes to fill in the empty spaces (yet another BIG nono).
4.) Creativity; not being cliche on the melody and harmony (not as important, but still important).
5.) Honesty; be true to yourself, does it your piece sound good or are you just saying it sounds good cos you composed it?
Very Important Law: Accept ANY criticisms (good, bad, mean, rude, harsh, evil, or even scary) from people who cared to comment on your work.
Ta dah~! Happy composing~! :D
There's nothing complicated rythmicly there Roxas. Seem's like a bad excuse. And dot, good tips for newbies.
you should be able to tell whether what you write sounds random or not, adjust it accordingly ;)
Hmm, if it's at a fast or even moderate tempo, slow it WAY down and count your rests and notes, then try to put them in.
Trust me, there's writing your own odd rythmic parts, and then finding melodyic parts for modern songs, from like Iron Maiden.
