Could i take a midi file and use a program to auto arrange it and then post here or do i have to manually have to transcibe it note for note.?

Either way is fine by us (the rules, that is) but I would not recomend using an auto-arranger. If someone here wants a transcription, they don't want a generated one :)

How I do it:

I input it into any program that Inputs .MID files. Then if it has more than 1 staff, I listen to all harmonies, one by one, and the melody part(s). I also listen for any articulation.

it's just whatever is most playable...and it takes a human brain to decide that.
