I'm back!

I've done some theory work, and some more practical practice (mainly improvisation) to try and hone some composing skills.

Here's a WIP
based on the new assignment I've just got. I tried! I really tried and I swear something's improving.... slightly.... maybe....

I definitely hear an improvement from your older compositions. But it still lack musicality, if you get what I mean. To fix this, you must listen to a lot of music you like and try to understand their bits and pieces (don't analyze that much, cos it will kill your interest and musicality) and try to apply to your own. ;)

That 'feeling' factor? thanks for the help! Is the phrasing OK? I really tried with phrasing here

I agree with Sir. Although it lacks that "musicality," it does seem O.K. ;) Good job.

Well, think of phrasing as a sentence when you write essays. You write the point with various words, just like you use various notes to make your melody. And at the end of your sentence, you use a full stop, just like you would use a cadence or some sort of ending notes. Maybe you'll understand it better this way. ;)

A fantastic analogy! Now... off to add punctuation

Added punctuation to create four bar phrases, altered notes, changed chords, improved melody and this is what I came out with (O! Nearly forgot, I also altered the left hand part)
