I got a new program from my dad, so I started to make some music and got addicted. Anyways This is the first composition I could make before the computer became unavailable. When the program is installed I will Continue on this song and make it Longer, Remixed and Better (I Hope). Please tell me if I'm going in the right direction.

It's unjustified. You've got pretty much the right harmonization there... Or at least so I hear. But your melody is lacking.

Yeah, a pattern of sixteenth notes doesn't really make for an effective melody. It should be something that someone can connect with, but like Sir Dot said, the harmonization is there, you just need to work on that melody! ;)

I agree with the two people above. I think you've started out right, and I especially enjoyed the originality in this piece. Good job, in my opinion. Add more to it, and as Sir said, create more of a melody.

Again, good job. :)

Thanks for helping out...

I modified the song a little.

- The main chords are still the same, but the rest changed a lot.
- The speed is somewhat faster
- And last BUT not least, a melody. (I hope)

Think I didn't made it worse...did I...

I actually think It's a big improvment, the only thing I'm unsure of in parts is the flute part (a flute I think?), I just don't feel it matches the rest- but only in places. Maybe it's just me :)

I was going through my files, and found an old song.

This is kinda a remix of the old one. Please tell me if it's ok...or a ...-don't-talk-about-it.

Wow...THNX. I haven't looked it that way...

I do know depeche mode, and I love that song, enjoy the silence, but I didn't really think it would turn out to have the same vibe.:shifty: :P

I really liked Final Restless, but I wasn't so fond of the 2nd part with strings solo... or was it even a strings solo? I didn't feel like it belonged.

Identifying the melody, that's what you lack most. Also, the melody requires a consistancy. Your music is like someone who's running, then suddenly hits a wall. Is this song finished? You started on a minor so I suggest finishing on the tonic for your minor key. eg: Aminor tonic would be A.

KaitouKudou you actually got the precise words I use to discribe how I feel when I make these little songs. I can't pass, jump over or blow up that wall.
I do have a little problem with the melody and endings. And I just workout idea's for now, since I never wrote notes before...so that's why it can seem like there is no end and stuff.

Well anyways...I already made a new song, before I could read this thread. So I'll introduce everyone with another "wall smashing" :P song. ( I decided to only upload the remix )

BTW: Tips I will try to use in the next one.
