It's crazy how far some people will go for a game system. poeple are willing to pay 2k for it.

2k!?!

I'll probably wait for a price drop. But right now, the Wii is looking a lot more fun^_^

He's talking about how these people sell the PS3's on ebay for around 4 thousand. I've also heard one man made 30 grand for selling his ps3's.

Its a very corrupted world. Especially when one guy got shot after he came out with his PS3.

Japan is taking over USA, one console at a time.

I heard a guy got shot over a PS3. How stupid some people can be.

pianocrazy90
November 19th, 2006, 12:54 am
Yeah its stupid too. Why can't some people just wait a few weeks more for the console just untill the crowd thats going to buy it goes down? Me personally, I would wait untill I actually see a game I really want to and buy it, or I'll just wait and see how games I want to play comes out on either console, then I will decide which deserves my upmost undivided attention for many and many hours. But the prices for game systems are skyrocketing up, thats its crazy. I remember when I wanted to get the N64( the nintendo console before the gamecube) and it was like 200 dollars, and at that time I thought it was crazy. Well at this time price for game consoles is just plain loco. About half a grand for a video game system, well that totally burns out my wallet. In about 10 to 20 years, just wait and see the prices of the future consoles. I bet you more than anything that they might and probably will go ABOVE $1000! Its going to be really hard to buy good games that'll cost you a fortune to get. My take on the prices of the games may they someday even rise to $100, ohh my! Its going to be rough roads for video gamers everywhere to be able to even afford their games of which they so richly desire and I hope Im not around to see it.

BS

I washed cars for my first Gameboy...Someone mentioned their friend mowing lawns for a PS3... if you want it you will get it, simple as that. I ussualy wait for rev. B...just so they work things out. Most people lining up (I hope) are either die hard fans of a game soon to be out or have alot of money...so they're "excused".

One must also take into account that today Consoles do alot more than they used to, so you gotta factor that into the cost, letsay I was moving out..would I get a stand alone DVD player and a console? no I would get an Xbox and a wireless antena, thatway I can view DVDs..play games...and stream music of my PC.

Consoles hope to be the center of our living room real soon, (Altho I consider a PC would do it much better...but thats besides the point)

What's this I hear about the PS3 not being worth all the hype. Comments?

I personally can't afford a new system, so I'll probably stick with my dated systems and buy new games for dirt cheap. I love dirt cheap games. =]

Yeah, yeah all the new cool things I accounted for, but Im still saying the prices for a PS3 are still ridiculous. What was the price of the PS2, $300(now its probably gone down to like $150-$200. So the PS3 is like $200 or so more than when the PS2 came out. Thats crazy. But yeah I will probably and most likely get the PS3 in time, but probably when it goes down in price and when I actually see a game I like, just like what I said in my earlier post.

The PS2 hardware can read both compact discs and DVDs. It is backwards compatible with older PlayStation (PS1) games, allows for DVD Video playback, and will play PS2 games off cheap CD-ROM discs or higher-capacity DVD-ROM discs. The ability to play DVD movies was an added incentive for consumers to be able to justify purchasing the PS2 (The MSRP was $300 in October 2000). The PS2 also supports PS1 memory cards (for PS1 game saves only) and controllers as well. The PS2's Dual Shock 2 controller is essentially an upgraded PS1 Dual Shock; analog face, shoulder and D-pad buttons replaced the digital buttons of the original.

It says $300 here.

people should just be happy with what they got, i mean, yes, a PS3 would be nice but, do you NEED it for a porpous besides to play video games with it? I find the answer, NO. Yes, yes, i know it would nice and awsome to have one but, you know, having a PS3 isnt a life and death thing like "OMG! I NEED THIS OR I WILL DIE!!!!", see, if you dont get it the first day you wont die, some people dont get that, some dude got shot over a PS3, now that show idiocity, wait i said that already -.-

Do you need ANY videogame at all? if you do seek help ;). Problem is people want them..but this price is unreasonable. I see alot of people are skipping the PS3 in favor of the Wii and 360.
