You all know I wanna be a manga writer/drawer, but I'm kinda stuck. What kind of story plots do you people like the most?

I like the whole "searching for something because someone important to you died while looking for it, yet don't know where or what it exactly is" plot. It's pretty open formed, and as you start writing, you can bloom on ideas the further you go in.

And there's always Seventh Sanctum (http://www.seventhsanctum.com/) to help you on generating random ideas. Generate a few, pick the ones you like, and then find a way to mesh them together.

where a crew of highly trained sword weilding robbers/gangmembers reak havoc on the city as police try to stop them. they won't associate with the mob which gets them into battles and they brake into homes of millionares and hold them for randsom and all that good sh*t. its all about getin payed and the street life (of a highly trained sword weilding robber/gangmember ).lol
o yeah and of course there would be the sweetest fight scenes puttin ninja against modern tech.

New York? Should be Tokyo! And in the future. Future rocks and gives you the opportunity to invent nifty things like mechas and gadgets not available in present times.

Ok I got two Ideas:

Idea 1:(Title may be comming soon)
Upon the death of Ziro's mother, and after a big storm Ziro uncovers a bizarre mecha.(Which later becomes known as the Ares Twelve) Meanwhile, a sadistic plot brews in a hidden building. Also a great planet-destroying battle may herald the end or the beginning! But does Ziro hold the key to victory?

Ziro lives by himself. And Ziro is 19 years old. There may be more characters later if I decied to do this story.

Idea 2:The Other Me
Hikaru Watari he is a 16 year old boy, who lives with his grandparents. Hikaru is somewhat shy. He never gets into fights. and if he dose he can use magical spells.(But he only uses his magic when in serious danger) He dosen't know why he has these strange powers. (You will find out later in the series) Hikaru has another secret, he has another personality or another thing living inside him. He has a demon living inside him. So when he gets mad he turns into the demon. He was cursed with the demon by an evil witch when he was younger.

The demon creature is very vicious; he will get into fights a lot. He has black wings. He has some magical powers, along with strength. He has very sharp claws for slashing his opponents to shreds. And when the demon is hurt or tired he will change back into Hikaru. And when the moon is full the demon can not com out. (Even if he gets really mad) It is called the “Cursed Moon.”

Hikaru goes to school and has a crush on a pretty girl, but is to shy to tell her he likes her. He only has one friend. Her name is Clarissa Hitome. She likes Hikaru, but is to shy to tell him. Hikaru dosen't know that Clarissa likes him.(But will later) She a secret too, she can also use magical. (Hikaru dosen't know yet, but will later in the series.)

Which one do u guys like?

Idea One: Mecha version numbers come in Roman Numerals. Ares XII or Ares mk. 12. Also sadistic is kinda bromidic sounding. Seems like a Gundam / Space Opera clone, but the background seems okay for a first shot -- so long as you go about the preface the right way, and learn military tech-speak.

Idea Two: School life meets Mahou Shoujo meets pesudo-Inuyasha. This one, which has been obviously focused on for longer, sounds kinda boring, but that can be turned around with a good script and some unique ideas that can only present themselves in school life mangas.


So to give my prefrence: it depends on how you script them. That's what'll make or break you.

And don't use Japanese names in non-Japanese doujinshi manga. It's kinda lame.

Ok what I really want to do is come kind of fantasy manga with strange creatures, magic and stuff like that.

Manga Idea:

It takes place in an Alternate History time-line where World War II was never fought.

On New Year's Eve night 1948, a band of pirates boards a German ocean liner in the South China Sea and robs the passengers and kills several of the crew. This had been going on for several years; but until now, no one wanted to do anything about it. Now the German Government decides to introduce a bill into the League of Nations that would give the BundesKriegsMarine (Federal German Navy) jurisdiction to patrol and clean up piracy in the area. Unfortunately, the largest pirate organization has plans (and the means) to fight back...

The manga would focus on the crew of the Frederick Barbarossa (A Panzerschiff [Armored Ship] of the same class as the Bismarck) and her escorts as members of the 6th Reserve Flotilla, a squadron of support aircraft that service and protect her, and a small security detail that does the actual "dirty work" of combatting and catching the pirates. It would also look at the political aspects of the hunt as well.

yeah she right though make it somewhat comedic so its not over depressing ive actualy had a lot of ideas just no artistic talent whatsoever xD

personally i'd love to see another dystopian post-apocaliptic future manga. kinda like Battle Angel Alita (GUNNM) but with a halo like story. could be like the aftermath of the whole conflic story, with like a super master cheif and a new governing enemy that took over both worlds or somethinng ^^
