how can i move an entire song's notes up one octave using finale notepad?

All you have to do is press the Key Signature Tool (next to the Measure Tool) and transpose up to some other key, then transpose up to the key you originally had it in :)

You can't use an 8va in notepad. You need to just write it manually. Yes, like flute music. Bwuah!

Easiest way: Control-click the first note. Press Alt+Shift+Up arrow (in this order, Up MUST be last). Then keep going right until finished ;) .
