As you all know, the CMA closed for July, so I didn't get any comments on my entry. Well, perhaps nothing special, but I'd still want to know what you guys thought of it. If someone wants to use it for something...just let me know, and it's yours. -_-

It's really good but I didn't like the middle much. Let me rephrase that, I liked the beginning and end a lot. In the beginning and end it had this stark, elegant beauty but once the string ensemble came in it seemed almost... cliched. I think maybe a more solo string sound or perhaps a quartet sound would be more suitable. It would keep it sounding simple and understated instead of overproduced and sentimental. I'd still give it a 9/10 if I was in the business of assigning numbers to things though.

*NOTE: I am going to change my grading system to categories rather than +'s and -'s*
To be honest, I fell in love with this song. My thought on this song are so contradictory, and I love it when that happens; simple yet sophisticated, tragic yet ominously comforting. I must disagree with Elite666 on his views on the instrumentation; I found the instrumentation to be very well done. I always found the fusion of woodwinds and strings to be absolutely radiant and whimsical (those categories, in my opinion, are the most clean and soft toned, making them the most beautiful to my ears.).
MELODY ~ 5/5
ACCOMPANIMENT/CHORD PROGRESSION ~ 4/5
BALANCING/BLENDING ~ 5/5
EXPRESSION/TECHNIQUE(S) ~ 4/5
OVERALL GRADE ~ 4.5/5 Satisfactory
*NOTE: I will never use that grading system again, for I found it to be a major hassle*

You could always go back to my old rating system. That you used before.

may I use manoshikan mist? I need a nice quiet village theme in the forest, and seems to fit that description. May I?

Sure sure...but it doesn't fit as a looping theme as village themes etc.. but yeah, you're free to use it.

is there anyway that YOU can make it loop? I would do it myself, but i don't want to butcher it.

This song has no notation so I can't "edit" it. I played all the instruments myself and put them together...so if you want to change anything, you'll have to do it on your own. X_X
