Hi, i'm new around here, but by no means am i a total noob, i've played the piano for 11 years, but hardly done any composition and my friend's and i are starting up a magic show using card magic and stage manipulation etc. I was wondering if anyone here could help me with composing appropriate music? Like the kind of exciting music that goes well with breathtaking amazing Magic. Thanks in advance guys! and girls of course:P

What can anyone do to help "write" a piece. The only thing people can do to help is if he post his own creation up first. We won't come up with a song or even a motif for you. There isn't much that we can do aside from listening to what you did and give you our thoughts about it. If you're looking for help, write something and post it first.

mmm k, well the thing is i need in like...a month, and answering your question kaitou, anyone can help "write" the piece by giving me a general genre they think is a good idea, maybe pointing me towards some good examples of this? im totally out of depth here, but ill try and mesh something together in the next coupla weeks

you could use the old circus/clown type of music and rearange it or make some strange beat to it. dont know what the style is called but its often in 2/4 or 3/4... it might not be very breath taking though.

listen to circus music I think that could help.

or if you want, maybe you can have suspenseful music with lots of rests to keep people on the edges of their seats
