im using right now, Finale Notepad 2007. :think: but i want to be able to upload a MIDI and have the score of the music on there. i cant upload a MIDI on Finale for some odd reason. :cry: or am i doing it wrong? Could someone please help me? :heh:

I don't think you can upload MIDI files on finale notepad.

What I do is that I open MIDI files on a transcribing program, like MidiNotate player. However, MidiNotate player is not a sheet music editing program, so if needed, I use the now transcribed MIDI file as a template for transcribing my own sheet music, in which I copy the necessary notes onto Finale Notepad. I understand this takes time, but that's the only way I know how to transcribe MIDI files.

Well, if you wanna spend some time frustrated, there's a free app out that'll convert the MIDI to ABC format, which you can then transcribe in ABC or re scribe it in Finale Notepad, but it's somewhat difficult to understand just how to use it because it's text based instead of notation based.

You'll have to buy the $100 (U.S) version titled "Finale Printmusic" one for the cheapest version that can input MIDIs.

you could also play the music on a boom box or something and your finale should pick it up through the microphone. This program really is touchy though, I don't like it but it is the only thing I have, so I live with it.
