i've played this before.

it's well beyond grade 8 standard, but if you are only 12 and at that kind of level already then you are obviously gifted. small hands will make it technically harder, but there's less risk of injuries.

the main problem with campanella is when people try and stretch too far for the leaps; if you watch any video of it on you tube you will see that the leaps are played by making a waving motion from one note to the other- which obviously needs perfect judgement. the easiest way for this is to 'trick' your brain. when i was learning it, i took the D sharp up an octave so it was actually jumping 2 octaves. this is a total nightmare and incredibly hard, but once you can do it, only jumping one octave seems a piece of cake.

smaller hands should make the chromatic/trill sections easier for you too.

i would say, give it a try, but along with other things and dont stress too much about learning it very quickly- after all you're only 12; and by the time you reach 14/15 and have got the piece well under your fingers and comfortable it will still be just as impressive.

if you need any more help feel free to PM me and good luck
