This morning I came up with a melody in my head. I recorded it on my phone so that I wouldn't forget it. How should I write it out?

i would go to a piano and compare your first sound to a note on the piano then i would continue translating your sounds into notes. After your done write it down

Yeah I know that route, I was wondering if there was an easier way, instead of note by note
