(I'm new to the forums; please forgive me is this is in the wrong spot.)

Is there some reason why I can't open Finale files that are posted in the forums? I keep getting an error message that says the file is incompatible. Is it just because my software is out-of-date? I'm using PrintMusic! 2001.

Yes, Finale is notorious for making all previous versions of their software obsolete with each new release... you'll need Finale Notepad 2007 (http://www.finalemusic.com/notepad/) to open the .mus files you find around here.
